Wow, you go to check out one little Idolatry interview that you've seen dozens of times before and 2½ hours later, you emerge blinking into the light, lol. You watch the interview, then you rewind the bit where he laughs about cougar bait, then you have to go and watch his live performances on Youtube, then you have to go back and watch the interview again, watching him laugh a few more times. Or is it just me?

Still thinking the woman interviewing him is a cow. Who the hell is she to call him smug? Especially as she's the one acting smug in that interview! DC has charm, talent, charisma and just gorgeous looks, what you got going for you?

I think I have spent way too much time analysing that tape, lol. So I'm going to watch Music of the Night as I haven't watched it in days and go to bed.

Oh yeah MORNING!! (well sort of)

Don't worry Alli I think my daily DC dose has gone up quite significantly over the last few weeks, it's like now idol is over I have to make up for it! And even though of the hour shows you'd only see him for maybe 10 minutes, I equate that to missing 2 hours of DC a week! Lol...
But today, so far... four videos, about 30 minutes of DC...and it's noon..

Hee hee! I'm sat here reading your reply listening to him on my ipod singing the studio version of Innocent.

I'm doing the Race for Life tomorrow and I get him to accompany me for the whole 5K, lol. I'm actually quite excited (where's the blush emoticon? ) Me and DC all alone for about 45 minutes, shame I'll be breathless, red as a tomato and sweaty, wish he was too (did I say that out loud? )

Haha, I did a race for life about two weeks ago...One of my friend had cervical cancer, and once she had her cervix removed wanted to do something to help others in her position.
I almost died, it's not secret that I drink like a fish, smoke like a chimney and eat lots of junk! But the end I actually thought I was having a heart attack!
Totally worth it though..in hindsight!

DC Dose of the day;

Oooooh, now a puddle on the floor.

I thought Innocent was ok at the time, nice, ok but it was so short, just as he got into it, it was finished (I feel the same about Dare You to Move too, it's too short) but then I heard the studio version and I was totally blown away! I think it's because the song was unfamiliar to us, but the lyrics and the passion in the song just make me cry. I just love the way he connects with that song, it obviously means a lot to him. But then lots of his songs make me cry, so if anyone's in Maidstone Mote Park tomorrow watching a woman running around in tears, it'll be me listening to DC, lol.

It's funny how lots of the songs he did grow on you isn't it? Hello and Billie Jean will always be his stunning wow first time performances that leave you breathless when you watched them, but now other performances have crept up on me with their subtlety and quiet brilliance, Baba O'Reilly is my current favourite though, I just so wish there was a studio version of that, it would be a complete killer.

Baba O'Reilly's another one which I feel was just too much of a song for the live performance, I love it, it just doesn't feel like a complete song to me. But you're right, the studio version would have been amazing! (Why did he record HLTW? Why?!)

My cousin had the thing plopped in front of me before I had the chance to object!! I was on holiday at the time though... so you can sorta understand the sisters and cousins harrasing you!

Innocent is amazing - especially the studio version and I love the jacket he wore that week as well - looked so good.

I now have mental images of DC and JR flirting! Maybe if we bombard the BBC with emails they will get him on.

Never get to watch his show cos I'm not home from work then but I reckon he'd get away with more on a late night show - got to behave if he's on at tea time!

I think I'm in the minority but I actually love the studio version of Hungry Like the Wolf, even my hubby who won't even listen to his music, said who's that singing and said that version was kicking. I loved Duran Duran though, but Simon le Bon never had that great a voice, whereas David's voice is just completely amazing and it's way rockier than the original.

I do think Baba O'Reilly would have been the better song to record, but he slowed it down significantly so he either would have had to cut a lot out of it to fit or it would have been 8 or 9 minutes long, lol. I think also he speeded up Hungry Like the Wolf slightly so it was short enough to fit a studio recording.

I'll never get fed up of listening to Baba O'Reilly though even though it's slightly weird as it's so short.

This season, it's had it's ups and downs which to be honest, is the first time I've thought that, but they did change writers...The current one (the one tonight) is the second of a two parter and the first bit had a wicked cliff hanger...So should be good!
