Sorry Cookie and other Royals fans but...

Jon Lester of the Boston Red Sox pitched his first no-hitter last night against the Royals! YAY!!!

Lester, 24, is a cancer survivor (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) and was the winning pitcher in game 4 when the Red Sox won the World Series last year!

I'm just so excited and happy for him!

I also just thought it was funny that it was against the Royals. DC will fair better tonight, of course! smile.gif

After everything that Jon Lester has been through, it was AWESOME to see him pitch a no-hitter! smile.gif

And since I have Big Papi in my fantasy league, and he provided some of the offense, it was even better! smile.gif

My favorite Red Sox player is Mike Lowell...he played for my alma matter (Florida International) and helped bring home the World Series Championship with my Marlins...then went and helped the Sox bring one home as well. I'm glad he's off the DL now.

Another Red Sox fan checking in! I was very happy for Lester too, he deserved it! smile.gif
