I love the Summer tour. For the past two seasons I've gone to at least 2 of the shows, and they were just so much fun, especially last season. I flew out to Philly and drove to Virginia with a friend of mine to attend the two shows out there. We met all the idols and stalked the busses and all that jaz. it was a BLAST

I think last year they went to Toronto and Vancouver.

I think 4th season they went to Toronto and Ontario, so they'll probably go to Canada.

Okay, so I've been thinking- HARDDD.
I think it might be better if I wait until I have more $$$, then HOPEFULLY David/David and band will go on tour, then I can see a whole concert of DAVID instead of DAVID *And 9 other people. But I don't want to wait that looongggg.... I'm so torn. Aaaaah.

To those who want to meet them before the show... figure out where the busses will be parked and go hang out there. There will probably be a crowd already. The busses pull in between 1 and 2. I got there around 12:30 last year and I got to talk to a lot of them that way

I'm definitely going, no matter how much the tickets are. I'm dragging my best friend as well.
She wants to see David Archuleta, and I'm going for David Cook.
And Brooke, and Jason, and Carly... and Michael, and pretty much everyone.
But mostly David Cook.

The show last year started at 7... doors opened at 6. I was lucky in that the arena was 1) in the town where my best friend lives and 2) the arena was right next to an outdoor shopping center.

But, the busses get there around 2... we didn't get left til around 4 and we rushed to get back to her house, change, get ready and get to the arena by 7. We barely made it in time for the show. So you think you'll have a lot of time to kill but really about 2 hours. Go grab dinner or something!

Alright...So I'll have to examine the area. lol. I hope it's near a restraunt or mall, because I CANNOT sit there for hours. But the thought of meeting DAVID, Jason, Michael, Carly, etc. Is wayyy to appealing to trhow away

I'm not saying you'll meet them all. Last year I met Chris R, Phil, Haley, Jordin, Melinda at the buses.

Thinking about it.. this season there are quite a few of them I'd love to meet. Mainly David though! If I do get to meet him, I'll be pleased as punch.

In other cities, my friends met more of them at the buses -- Chris Sligh, Gina, etc. A few of them were sick the day of our tour stop and I know that like 3 of the girls were doing press that morning.

I didn't say I was going to meet them all, but if I meet those, I'd be pleased as punch, as we'd say!
As long as I see David, I will be very happy. And if not, I'll still get to listen to him, right?

I am going for sure! I have gone to the idols tour every year since season 4. Always a blast! I think that this year will be amazing!

Tickets are usually about $60-80, all depending. If you get front row from a broker, plan on a cool grand.

Suggestions for meeting:
1. Ignore Rent-A-Cops. They LIE.
2. Call the arena and ask them about the pre-show meet and greet. If they say they know nothing about it, tell them to quit lying.
3. Look for a pre-show meet and greet. Walk around the arena until you find it.
4. After the show, walk around the arena and look for the buses.
5. If you're coming from out of town, they usually stay at Sheratons.

I'm so excited!! My mom lives in Little Rock AR and my dad lives in Dallas so theres a good chance that they will come to a city near me, and you can bet your ass that I'll be there!!!

Indeed. They've been to Dallas three years in a row now.

My best friend and I are REALLY going to try to go this year; neither of us have ever been to an AI tour and we're dying to go. It's pretty unlikely that they will come to Lubbock, but we're starting to get some bigger names to play here, and Carrie Underwood is even coming this summer, so maybe! If they do come to Lubbock, we'll be there without a doubt. If not, we're still gonna try to make it to one of the other Texas shows. Or possibly New Mexico if they play anywhere there.

On that note, when do they usually release the tour dates and locations?

they usually come to Pittsburgh...the past three years I went (Season 4, 5 and 6) they came to Pittsburgh, so they are probably coming to Pittsburgh.
