So, I was listening to the radio this morning, and the bimbo who does the entertainment bit said that the "rumor" is that DC will be "given" the title because DA's dad will be too hard for 19 to work with, and that DC will be much easier to manage. My second thought (after "the damage control has begun") was "Damn...wish I'd known THAT before I spent four hours voting last night and gave myself a headache before bed." *scarcasm alert*

Whatever.. if David Cook wins (which I pray he does), it is because he is the most talented, the best performer, and the one most likely to sell the most cds.. no offense against Archie but I have just never bought his hype.. he's an okay singer but he really needs to work on his peformaces..

Of course if Cook wins, Archie fans will have to come up with a reason for it. I mean, no one is more talented than their boy, right? GAG!

He will be given the title because he has earned it by being the best Idol contestant in the history of the show, and for NO other reason. And if he doesn't get the crown tonight, he will still undoubtedly be one of the biggest "Idols" ever.

We all know that David Cook deserves to win and that's all there is too it.. and we are just going to have to deal with the little david supporters saying all kinds of negative things about him, but that's OK.. I am fine with whatever is said about Our David.. since WE know the truth.. that he has never compromised himself for the show and he has earned my respect for that!

So, if some reporter bimbo wants a to write a real story, maybe she should interview David Cook and ask him his thoughts.. and then after that, she will know the truth.. that David Cook is the REAL DEAL!!

And you know what else?? These "haters" sure seem to act like they know what they are talking about, but all they are really doing is trying to stir everyone up and it's not going to work. David Cook's fans are far too intelligent to fall for whatever "rumor" she is trying to start... and I bet that this same reporter who started this "rumor" will be the same one who will be in line to congratulate David Cook once he wins.. just like some of the other "journalists" out there.. some of them are quick to talk smack about him right now, but will be just as quick to praise him once he has won.. and that is just how these "haters" operate.. it's just too bad that some of these journalists choose to be "haters" rather than be objective and fair in what they print..

but, I guess this bimbo just wants to get a good story so she just happened to come across this "rumor" at the right time.. and notice how she says that it's a "rumor".. which means it's probably a lie and for all we know, she made it up just to have something to talk about.. I am sure she didn't quote her source on this story, since it's just a "rumor" - WOW... is this what journalism has come to now- reporting "rumors"?

Whatever happened to being gracious and wishing the winner good luck with his career- or is that just not a big enough story..

Well, the point is- there are going to "rumors" out there so we just need to IGNORE them and like all good "rumors" they will go away eventually....

What a complete load of BS this is. I think what's happening, is that TPTB are realizing this morning that a helluva lot more people voted for Cook then was expected to, considering Archie "knocked him out". Pfffft.

I know...it just irritates the crap out of me, you know? She has never hidden the fact that she's an Archie supporter. But I just KNEW that if DA looses, there are some Archie fans who will make any excuse they can for it, because is simply can't be that DC is extrememly talented and has fans that are just as dedicated as they are.

Just want to say that DC is the best overall talent that they have EVER had on American Idol. I will be and already am(with the judges biased comments last night for the other performer) disssapointed in the show if DC does not win. My boyfriend (a total manly man) LOVES DC and respects him as a fellow gentleman and amazing musician. I have never seen my BF of 3 years so into any other musican and it breaks my heart to think that DC may not win when he clearly deserves the prize. Just on priciple that DC has blown away the AI audience with Hello, Billy Jean, Always be my baby, Day Tripper, Elanor Rigby, Music of the night, and last weeks Roberta flack monumetal performance, he should win by a landslide. I will not watch AI again if he does not win as I will truly believe the show to be biased and completely untrue. If you feel the same please reply to this message I hate feeling alone in my strong feelings about this. THANKS ..DC all the way!!!

1000000000000000% agreed. He is so much bigger than this show it's not even funny. No matter what the outcome is, DC has officially been turned loose on the music industry, and he's no doubt going to leave a lasting impression.

They were saying the same thing on our local FOX station this morning! It was making me mad but whatever!
I personally think that Cook would be harder to manage, in terms of trying to "mold" him. (sorry i can't find the right word!) DC knows who he is as an artist so he'll butt heads with everyone if he disagrees.
I mean i guess essentially Idol would just have to sit back if DC won considering he can do it all himself. He doesn't need much guidance.

Here's the thing I don't think Archie is bad at all, in fact I quite like him but I don't think he's anywhere near the finished thing. If you compare him to DC, there's a difference of about a million miles.
