Yes, I definitely think that's what he was going to say. Apparently, trite is his new favorite word, and he's actually going to make trite sound trite soon.

Glad you posted this great interview - I was just about to add it here. This just shows why he is the American Idol, regardless of the outcome. He's so mature, poised, humble & witty (I think he was about to say "trite" too !

How I would LOVE to curl up for a nap with those arms of his around me, singing a soft lullaby while I drift off into dreamland...AAgghhhhhh!! LOL
