my siggy was changed to let me know that it was over the size limit. i was wondering how you guys are going about doing that, is it randomly asking people to resize it because i can still see a few with even bigger sized siggy than mine.
i don't mind resziing it just wondering how you're reinforcing the new rule is all. thanks

So is mine still too big??? I don't want to be banned from a DC site just because I am showing my love for DC. Please tell me if it's too big before I get the boot.

no one's banning anyone.

i think yours is okay. 600 x 180. the max size is i think 600 x 210. CMIIW

Well the little message that came along with my "warning" said (possibly not in these exact words but banned was the word used) "those who choose to ignore the warning and continue to have large signatures will be banned...." Even if I was only banned for a few days I wouldn't be able to handle it.

Mine is smaller than all of yours (360 x 72 pixels) and I got the same message. HMMMM.
So I put my same one back up. Someone was hatin' on me! LOL
If there is a problem, please let me know...

I know mine was over the size, 'cause I had 240 in height, but I just resized it to 210 height wise, so it should be all right I hope.
However, I don't want to sound like a person that complains, or whatever, but I was slightly ticked that mine needed to be edited, when [not to pin-point people], but I've seen people with THREE signatures, that double the height of mine, or TWO signatures, & get away with it..
What's the deal with that? [Just asking, please don't think I'm being rude, I'm just questioning.]
Sorry in advance, I'm not trying to cause trouble for anyone.. I'm just curious.

that was my question too but i guess since there are a lot of members on here and because of the recent excitement (DC WINS YAY!) they have to do it one siggy at a time.

i feel bad for the mods actually cause there's a lot of siggies to go through.

they're probably just preparing for the high traffic that's going to be coming through.
if it takes 25 minutes to load your signature... that's probably not good!

I'm not too sure how to resize my siggy, so I'm just going to search for a new one and hopefully I will stick within the siggy boundaries.
is there any way you can check, before you add the picture, what size it is?

if you have photobucket you can resize your picture there and link it right away. that's how i changed mine.
i just right click on the picture and choose properties and a new window pops up and shows you what the size its among other things.

it's a new feature. you can even do more editing on their site. it kinda helps because i hate launching photoshop just to do minor editing.

Size Limits
In order to keep The Forum fast for those who wish to see signatures we feel it is necessary to impose limits. Various combinations of images and text are permitted in signatures; these are summarized below:
* Text Only
Text only signatures may have a maximum of six (6) lines of text (including blank lines), assuming the default font size or smaller. Larger font sizes means that fewer lines are allowed.
* Images Only
Image: Maximum of 600 pixels wide x 210 pixels tall
* Image and Text
Signatures with both text and images may have a maximum of three (3) lines of text, assuming the default font size or smaller. Larger font sizes are not permitted.
Image: Maximum of 600 pixels wide x 170 pixels tall
If multiple images are used, then the limits apply to all images combined. (example: 3 images that are 200 pixels wide = 600 pixels wide)

A little help for the mods here...for those of you who are having siggy problems keep in mind that if you are including text in your siggy then your blend has to be smaller. But if you have no text in your siggy then your blend can be slightly bigger. I just thought I'd point that out.

I have noticed recently that people's siggys are getting HUGE again--multiple pics, or very large pics, are being used. Is anyone still keeping an eye on this? Just wondering...

There's almost 9500 members on this board and there are so many posts a day it is impossible to read each and every post. We edit the sigs as we come across them,or you could always report the post and point out the sig size. We're doing our best

yeah i'd feel uncomfortable about reporting someone LOL i don't wanna be a tattle tale so i guess i'll just wait for the mods to notice them.
