Thanks for the welcome. I told Cookie that the day I met him (August 20, 08) was the third most important in my life--after 1) my own birthday, 2) the day I got married, and then 3) meeting him. (He laughed!) Then I pointed my hubby out who was standing nearby taking photos of David and me, and David stretched out his arm and showed his hand behind my back and made a face that said, "Whoa! She's married! I don't have my hand on her!" So funny! I actually have a photo of this on my website. You may have seen it.

Apparently, one of the gals said you're an "older" fan, like me. I say as long as we're still alive and kickin', we can rock, right?

Hey Angie, I remember your pics from the tour, really awesome! Thanks for recapping your experience for us. You must've been on cloud nine! I loved reading what you said about David really listening to the person he's talking to and really paying attention. That might seem like a very small thing but that's a HUGE deal in my book.



I'm not quite as old as Mar made me out to be. I'm definitely not old enough to be David's mother. If I was, that would mean I would've been knocked up when I was 3 years old!! And believe me there is nothing saintly or miraculous about me that would've enabled such a thing to happen!

I am supposed to be working!! David will cause me to be OUT of a job man! Either that or I have to work late just to keep up with The Dash! How do I get a job working for David? That would kill 2 birds with one stone! LOL!

This album is going to literally blow up! Every song other than LO being written OR co-written by David. Its Analog Heart v1000000! Analog Heart itself is a SOLID independently produced first record and now with big bucks backing this next studio album.... David's going to be BIG.. seriously.

Yes, eye contact (or lack thereof) when talking to a person is one of my pet peeves. It just makes me crazy when people don't look me in the eye when I'm talking to them. Sounds like it's one of your pet peeves, too. David passes with flying colors in this department. He is so ultra attentive, considering there's so much distraction all around. He looks you right in the eye, it made me lose my train of thought 'cos I was so nervous that he was so attentive. He makes you feel like you're the only person in the room.

Sorry about the getting your age wrong thingy. The other SG cookies must be sooooo young that they tease you about being older! So I must really be ancient to them. No matter, I'm young at heart, and always being told I look young, too. I think it's so wonderful that Cookie has such a huge cross-section of fans. My mom-in-law, who's 69, likes him, too. His wide appeal will mean he'll have staying power and be around for a long, long time then. Goody!

We must have the same taste in men. JC Chasez was my favorite, too. Who did you like from the Backstreet Boys? (Or maybe you didn't like them?) My favorite was Kevin Richardson, and next fave was Brian Litrell.

Angie, YES that is definitely one of my pet peeves, not so much being looked in the eye but NOT TRULY being heard. So yeah when I read so many accounts of how David truly listened and paid attention and with so many fans/strangers he met for the first time, that was something that struck a chord cos its something so easy for EVERYONE to do but not everyone does it and here we have DAVID COOK, AMERICAN IDOL, CELEBRITY giving total strangers his FULL attention when they're talking to him. This guy's truly special.

No worries on the age thing. And yes these youngins in here tease me at times. I guess I'm a bit touchy cos this is the year I officially turned 30! Its still painful to TYPE that! However, I've been told I DON'T look it so that's GOOD! And you definitely don't look your age either, you look YOUNG in your pics with DC. And you're right about DC and his mass appeal. We have ALL ages on this board alone. Pretty amazing how he has everyone young and old wrapped around his finger. My mom likes David too, I sometimes rewatch his AI performances and when she's in my room watching with me, I'll watch her for HER reaction and she's always secretly smiling when DC comes on. So yay MOM! LOL!

JC was my fave for sure from NSYNC, with JT sometimes stealing my attention.. lol but back then he was TOO young, lately he's ALLLL man! HAHA! As for BSB, I was not a fan of their like I was of NSYNC, I enjoyed their music tho. I downloaded the mp4 version n put in my phone.
Later it said invalid format.
So i took a video using my phone and the format came out as AVI
I tried playing back the video and it accepted just cause it was in AVI format....

Then i downloaded the avi format and my phone doesnt accept...WTH?!

Permanent is an emotional power rock ballad - soft rock at its best. When I took a listen to the song, I was close to tearing. If you can feel that way, then David has succeeded in connecting to even the most casual listener.

I'm now listening to all the other tracks. By far, I'm relishing tracks to the likes of Declaration, Bar-Ba-Sol, Permanent and A Daily AntheM.

Hi Angie, Yeap I'm the BSB fan around here. Brian's my fave from the group, mostly cos I flove his voice. BSB was the first music that I got really passionate about, so they'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I watched the Light On music video on my iPod about 5 times on my way home today. I still can't get enough of it. I think that vid will be my guilty pleasure from now onwards.

After listening to Cook, i think Archie is just another artist like Enrique Iglesias or Jesse McCartney who always works on one genre and one genre only.

So far Declaration is still my favourite. I need the FULL Barbasol. I definitely hear Analog Heart ALL over this record. This is Analog Heart with lots of moolah backing it!

I already emailed Song BMG. Don't worry, I wasn't fangirly, I hid my horns for that one just respectfully expressing my excitement for the new record. I think it would be a good idea if more of you write in as well. Go for it!
