I just read on here that both DI and Zaba are saying David Cook is going to be the winner!! Of course, we won't know until tonight, but...I'm crying hard right now, listening to Analog Heart (Makeover), and I'm realizing that this IS PROBABLY GOING TO HAPPEN FOR HIM!! It's just all so overwhelming...I love this man and his music SO MUCH, as we all do. To see him actually achieve his dreams is just...awe-inspiring, and I honestly can't put into words what I am feeling right now. Oh, it's been an emotional 24 hours, and this next 24+ hours promises to be even more emotional. Tito, hand me a tissue!! LOL

Either way, I'm proud of David.. I'm happy for his success.. and I'm thrilled that I got to witness his rise to fame and his greatness in this lifetime..

Nope...the cork stays on the champagne until I know for sure. I don't need my hopes dashed. I do agree with you, though....what a rollar coaster ride this has been!

As much as I hate to say this, I wouldn't get your hopes up on these boards. They are rarely right. I have a terrible feeling that OUR David will not come out the winner tonight. I would love to see him win and have his dreams fulfilled but I think they already have. I do think he is extremely grateful he's gotten this far and know that he will have an awesome career in the music industry. Either way, I know exactly how you feel katsluvr.

Nigel was on Ryan's radio show today saying expect a shocker tonight on AI. I think that means David Cook won AI. That's what I found today when I was listening to ryan's radio show online.

OMG If he wins this Im gonna cry. I was so Angry after what they did to Chris Daughtry that I havent watched this show at all until 4 weeks ago and there was Cook lol and I was Hooked........ No Matter what Im a Huge Fan now, Have his first CD and Ill follow him like I do Daughtry. Cook is simply Amazing.

I anticipate a lot of crying tonight.

Oh yeah......that's guaranteed to happen no matter what. It's been quite a ride, hasn't it, friends? Heck, it's sad just to think that is the end of one chapter in Cook and our lives.

As the day has progressed, I realize I will cry my eyes out tonight whether DC wins or not...I just feel so emotionally 'spent' right now. I even keep thinking that I will take a nap and stay away from this board, but yet, here I am!! I keep replaying the section of AI last night where DC cried, and I cry all over again. God, ladies, we are going to go thru some SERIOUS withdrawal...

True, ladies, true, but damn it, all the emotions we've felt this season were darn sure worth it. Just like I was telling my friend over the phone last night, whatever goes down, I'll look back on these days of my life and be glad that I just lived for each moment with no regrets.

My good friend and I were practically tearing up when we saw the zaba results. We just started crying! LOL! We so badly want Cook to win it!

I think if zaba holds up, I will cry even more later. hehhehehe

Would'nt it justify what we've all felt since the beginning , the man, the legend all that is DAVID COOK is simply that damn good and I think if DC entered an entirely different musical roller coaster contest tomorrow we'd all hold on tight and go for the ride all over again.

You're right about the Archie thing. He actually performed like he wanted to WIN this thing. Something kinda told me Archie would bring his A-game and pull a fast one. Did anyone else feel that way?

Archie surprised me cos he brought out whatever that is left out of him for the show. he sang really really well.

Why do you say they are rarely right? Dial idol is usually right and I understand that zabasearch has a great track record. What do you know?

My thoughts on the Tuesday debacle. Archie sang really well. But it was still the same sicky sweet ballady stuff. DC was awesome! I really loved all 3 songs and there was so much emotion in the 3rd song. I decided weeks ago that DC deserved to win. He consistently showed his artistry,honesty, personality, energy, compassion. He's an IDOL worth emulating. Does DC need to win AI? Absolutely not. He'll be rocking our world for a long time to come. Does AI deserve DC? After last night. NO! But this is what he wants so I'm with him all the way.
Oh, and Dialidol has never been wrong in predicting the winner. So I hope that there is a major upset for the producers of AI.

I thought DC did amazing and he deserves to win. It took me forever to get votes thru last night. Also, I was talking to a girl at school today (an Archie fan), and she said she was worried because it was incredibly easy for her to get her votes thru last night. I'm hoping for a DC victory!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe this thing starts in less than 90 minutes now? Stoked doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling right now.

I definitely won't be counting my chickens before they hatch (so to speak lol). But if it does happen, I can say one thing: we will be witnessing more than just him winning. We will be witnessing the triumph of the outcast, the underdog. But a massively talented one. This moment won't be just for him or for us. It will celebrate the triumph of anyone who was ever made fun of for being 'different'. And they too can relish in the moment.

This is going to be a wonderful night indeed, no matter what the outcome.

Even though Dial Idol doesn't take text votes into account, they have been pretty dead on accurate the last few weeks and I'm hoping they will be accurate tonight.



That was just beautiful! I always love what you have to say but this is so true. It's not really about win or lose, it's about being able to realize and live out your dreams and with the help of idol, David has been able to do that.

He is indeed an integral part of my life. He is my alarm, my ringtone, music that keeps me company when I'm on the road and an inspiration for me to chase for my dreams and goal.

It's crazy, I don't think he even knows that I exist, but I feel so really attached to him. I am going to get severe withdrawals symptoms once the show ends.

I'm just mad and borderline depressed over the hack job Simon did on DC last night. I'm going to be so unhappy if David Cook doesn't win. He totally deserves it even if Idol doesn't deserve David anymore.

I 'know' he doesn't know I exist, but I feel like he does. Like we are all a part of him. You know, the part that you can't always see, but holds you up when you are too weak or emotional to deal on your own. We all route for him, and pray for him and his family. We invest in him. Why? Because he's giving his all to us. Every week, he's stepped out on that stage, looked straight into the camera and sang directly to each and every one of us. Looking us right in the eye's and touching our hearts. I can't even tell you the last time I cared about an entertainer, it's been that long ago, but, I deeply care about David. I know he is already a winner, they both are. They will stand on that stage tonight friends, and will leave the stage as friends. One will leave with a title...the other with a smile.
