So of course DC and the finale has been on my mind all day today and I'm being optimisitc especially because I know the huge amount of support us word nerd's gave our guy last night.

Still I like to look for "signs" that Cook is going to come out on top.....the other day I passed street signs that read David St and Cook St and I just smiled, but this takes the cake

I was at the dollar store and I said (Not out loud-don't want people thinking I'm nuts) that I'd like a sign that David is going to win. I asked for a very specific sign. I asked for one of the songs he sang last night to come on over the speakers. I always do silly things like this. I was sure nothing would happen....and then as I'm getting to the register I hear the start of the song and I dance silently inside. Playing loudly is "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" I told my mom and she smiled.

Ok so it could just be a coincidence but like David said himself there might just be a higher power out there.

I'm the same way about signs so I know exactly what you mean.

I read tarot cards this morning and kept getting the Star (which is a beautiful card) and means to me that win or lose, DC will be fine. He's a STAR, baby!!

i did that too last night on the way to work..All right now come on the oldies station.
it was also all day little things like commerical or when i was flicking channels it would say the word David or cook..it was weird yet so nice.

i too was lookin for signs too! hers my story...

im a big Kenny Chesney fan and he was nominated this year for entertainer of the year and the acms... if he won he would go in history joining Garth Brooks for winning the award 4 yrs in a row.. but this year it was fan voted and the other nominees (rascal flatts and brad paisley to be specific) had fan bases the were big voters.. so really it was a war betweent he fan bases (as was ai final vote). at one point paisley was winning with the most votes with 3 days left... Kenny really deserved to win this award of all the ones he was nominated for (11 nods in all). when the acms aired sunday Kenny lost every award except for vocal event of the year... then came for the big one.. eoty.. and then Kenny won it. he won an award voted on by the fans..
so he came out 2 for 11 but got the big one.. the one that really mattered.

then im watchin idol on tuesday and even though Simon declared that he thought David would win.. he kept "bashing" him and claimed teh archie "crushed" the competition. so david came out of tuesday 0 for 3 with only the fan voted one.. the big one... the one that really mattered left to by decided. a
as i compared it all.... it gave me a big hint that Cookie would win.. and HE DID!!!!!!!

so thats my story.. ur was sooo cool and a more direct sign... but either way there is a higher power out there like David said.. im sure of it!

I was looking for signs also: How's this? I live on East Coast and I was driving home from work yesterday and looked up to find that I was behind a car with a MISSOURI license plate--WOW--this must be a sign that he is going to win

IO did the same thing, I was flipping over the music channels on my TV and asked for a sign if David would win AI, then started to play "Another one bites the dust by Queen" needless to say that actually happenned

I've been running into the word cookie a lot this week... XD or DC.Now I know they were definitely signs

Okay, well, this may sound weird if you don't believe in God, but...

At 1am, when I couldn't vote anymore, I finally crawled into bed. I kept staring at the ceiling and couldn't fall asleep. Finally, I said, "God, you know what David wants. You are the only one who truly knows if he wants to win. If he doesn't really want to win, then let Archuleta win, but if David really wants to win, please let him win."

Not 5 minutes later, I was asleep and I woke up with this sense of calm over me. I was not worried at all.

I did let a tinge of worry seep in right before Ryan read the results, but I spent all day, not worried at all.

Oh, and I was watching VH1 Classics yesterday afternoon, and "Hello" by Lionel Ritchie came on. I nearly wet myself.

Yeah, I was also looking for a sign, and I saw it about 1hour, 30 minutes in the show...

Jordin Sparks, last year's Idol, was wearing an orange bracelet....

At that very moment I believed that this year's Idol, will be the one who is wearing an orange bracelet...

the only sign i needed was the huge margin predicted by dialidol. i was calm all day and everytime someone on idol tonight predicted archie the winner, i said outloud... "haha you're wrong"
