Well said. David has been absolutely AMAZING and I've never had someone touch me so deeply like he has over these past few months. I am SO, SO proud to be a fan of his and I wouldn't give any of this time up for anything in the world.

I am tired. My arm hurts and I have to keep up with my 3 year old tomorrow. I lost count how many votes I got in all on my land line. I had great luck with the 03 number all night long. I kid you not I probably got through around 90-95% of the time. I've never voted for AI finals like this. I might vote for 1/2 an hour before, but never the whole 4 hours.

I agree with Jeannine. At David's hometown visit he sang My Hero and on YouTube, there has been thousands of hits of us wanting to hear it again, because it was something new and we loved it; and it had DC's twist on it. I think they are now trying to put David in a box, and I will not go for it. He deserves this and has worked for it way too hard before AI; and we owe to him.

By the way; I live in Alaska; so I am 1 hour behind CA in time so I will be a dialing fool to get my votes in! The lines are not even busy.....that scares me everyone because it is 10:20pm in CA.

I've been lurking for a while now and just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed reading all the posts on this site.

David Cook has nade me enjoy music again!

Now, if this old lady (I have a son older than DC *g*) can keep three phones going conxtantly for four hours, you all can, too! I didn't count how many votes, but for what it's worth, two phones were with text votes in batches of ten and one phone redialing constantly. Quite a few busy signals, the annoying 'all circuits busy', and the maddening 'dead air', were present, but I did have success toward the last hour (line 03 seemed to be the most open for me).

I'm still hoping for a win, but even if things don't work out that way, I feel very privledged in having watched the development of a young man who will be the music world's next superstar.

I just finished four hours of voting (never cast more than a handful of AI votes before this season, lol). I got through probably 90% of the time, I was really surprised. I used both my cell phone and my home phone for maybe half of it, maybe a bit longer, until the cell phone battery died. I did take a short shower in there, but called from my cell with the speaker on while I blow dried my hair. LOL! I swear I'm not telling anyone IRL about this, hahaha!

Anyway, best of luck to you west coasters! Keep dialin'!

By the way, my husband dialed on the cell for me for about 30 minutes while I cleaned house with one hand and dialed the land line with the other. Husband wants to make it clear that his "never voted for AI" record still stands, and he was just helping ME.
