she admitted that DA was at his best tonight... but she also praised DC for being the first to ever sing three new songs in the finale.

The Dial Idol numbers do trend downward as the voting progresses because the number of busy signals gets less. The DI score is basically the percentage of busy signals.

But what I always like to look at is the GeoPredictions, based on "Winner":

Not only is DC winning in the AI race, it looks like he's also winning in the presidential race!

DC is winning 40 states, Archie 9 and apparently no one in Wyoming watches AI. And of Archie's 9 states, in 4 of them (VT, MN, IA and SC) DC actually has more votes.

More DI number crunching (I've been a radio news reporter for over 20 years and have done my fair share of election night coverage...but tonight? This is way more fun!) and there have been nearly one million calls made through Dial Idol tonight, 625,260 of them for DC, or still standing at about 63%. But there's still the factor of those unknown text message numbers out there somewhere that could make a difference.

I think Ryan said there were 53 or 54 million votes last week? This week I'm sure it's well over 100 million, maybe even 120 million.
