Ok, I said I was back to voting, but I just had a thought.

Maybe Simon WANTED to make us angry tonight. Maybe he was doing it to HELP us DC fans, so we wouldn't be complacent. On Jay Leno last night, he said he wanted to see DAVID COOK win, so why would he bash him if he didn't have OUR interest in mind. I think he was onto something...he wanted to light a fire under us.

Ok, now I really am back to voting. I'm getting in most through line 05 by the way!

My take...
Archie won "round 1" (didn't really like the boxing theme...but...)

Cook took round 2 - was totally bored by Archie's song choice.

Round 3 I had to give to Cook...I love Collective Soul and his take on the song...I'm a HUGE Beatles and Lennon fan but am somewhat of a snob about it (didn't even care much for DAUGHTRY's version of Imagine...and I love Daughtry)

I can't and won't personnally attack Archie, but he's not for me...his sound and his stage presence don't do it for me.

Positive thoughts people . . . remember the ENTIRE KC metro and midwest and pulling for David Cook. EVERYONE always underestimates us central U.S. folk but we are hearty and DETERMINED!!!!! If you live in the midwest, VOTE FOR YOUR BOY!!!!! (sorry, MAN!)

Remember, no matter what happens, he has Daughtry's management team behind him, which is FABULOUS. They will take him places. If Archie DOES win, then the whole machine will have to deal with *DAD* and no one wants that. Idol can't stand another season with egg on their faces (i.e., the Taylor Hicks fiasco with Daughtry coming in 4th....notice how there is NO mention of Hicks in ANYTHING this season). Believe me, I want to see Simon EAT HIS WORDS tomorrow. EAT EM! Winning isn't necessarily the best thing, and not every winner succeeds. Archie has great talent, but WE KNOW WHO HAS THE TALENT, LOOKS, SMARTS AND SONGWRITING SKILLS to make it big.

Firstly, David Archuleta was incredible tonight...so damn incredible that it scared the crap out of me.

I give David Cook mad props for chosing to not reprise a performance...he took a great risk and I trully appreciate that he chose to give us a new performance instead. I thoroughly enjoyed Dream Big, which was a surprise to me (given the spoilers) and SHFWILF was great, too.

I wonder if Simon was trying to "even the playing field"--he's been saying in interviews and on TV that Cook is the better performer and should win. Maybe Archie's camp called foul...

Anyone notice that when Ryan was talking at the beginning of the show he mentioned "the former Idols" and showed Kelly, Carrie and DAUGHTRY... hahahaha... ummm, he didn't win, did he??? I thought that was awesome, but at the same time a kick in the gut to Taylor...

I was looking at old videos from 'Hello', 'Eleanor Rigby' etc...

and that man standing on stage singing to me...has to win. There's no doubt in my mind, he's it.

I just hope American thinks so too...
