I know a thread like this was started last week, but was locked as it was too early. Figuring that it's tonight, a thread like this may as well be started now.

This thread serves to discuss about the highs and lows in tonight's performance show. And as always, we can't wait to talk about it!!

it's tonight.....TONIGHT!!!! I can't get over it......omg...I'm hyperventilating.

Ok, so it is 1:10 am and I am exhausted from a long day and I just honestly want to know how anyone is going to be able to make it to vote for 4 hours straight, let alone little 8, 9, 10, 12 year olds?

I think they would be passed out by 11:30 and how would their parents let them stay up that late (to 1am)? I'm not being mean, really because I have to admit that 4 hours of voting is just plain overkill.

Was it really 4 hours of voting last year in the finale? Don't you think that there would be so much traffic drop-off (despite our best efforts to the contrary) after the 2 hours that it might not be worth it?

I also worry about as time wears on that people become tired and the monotony will lead to errors. YIKES:(

And in the scheme of things, how can 4 hours of voting benefit the Archies with that young a fan-base? It would be way too favorable to Cook's fans who have the advantage because we are generally older. As much as TPTB seemingly manipulate certain things, they do have to keep voting conditions fair for all fanbases right down to the wire. I just can't see this. Really.

I also watched latest "EW" Idolatry video where they were sizing up the finale and I could have sworn I heard them mention only 2 hours of voting in that piece. HMMMMMM?

Just interested to know where it is actually confirmed by TPTB that voting is open 4 hours?

Well, whatever it is, I know we are all prepped for 4 so anything else is cake but get those power bars and power shakes and energy boosters ready because we are ready to ROCK THE VOTE FOR DC.

Like I said last night before I went to bed...I didn't get much sleep last night. I knew I wouldn't. I fell asleep easier, but I couldn't stay asleep, so I just kept tossing and turning. So, with that said, I'm pretty tired this morning. I have a morning of classes ahead of me, so yeah.

Does anyone think it would be wrong to take a little nap before I go to my evening class so that I'm rested enough to vote for 4 hours?

I think I might have to. I mean, I'm already tired and I just got up 45 minutes ago and my shower didn't even wake me up. I'm having my morning caffeine as usual, so hopefully that helps a little LoL

Probably not going to be posting tonight after the show because I plan to call in on two phones and text on a third and I just can't multi-task enough to get online as well

This just has to be the best TOP 2 night in AI history, and I can't wait! I am going to leave work early so I can get front row seats in my living room. Just kidding--no one would dare usurp my place on the sofa, tonight of all nights. I am thinking of not going in tomorrow at all because I won't be good for anything with my hands all cramped up, right?

I know everyone is going to be madly voting, I have set up gizmo myself so hopefully I can help contribute from down here in Australia, but please please can someone if they get a chance post some updates for us international fans who don't get to view the show until hours after it has been aired (or until the torrent becomes available for download). I love to know what is happening.

I am going to be a nightmare for me on finale night though because they are aqctually going to screen it live - so I will be nail biting along with the rest of you instead of having the heads up on the outcome before I actually sit down to watch the show.

I always find out beforehand - I can never wait until the actual show is on - I don't have enough self control for that!!

Hence, I shall watch the show live on TV at home on Thursday morning, to spare me the agony of waiting till after work to watch the results. Hehehhee.

In singapore, the performance show won't be live either, thus, I gotta wait till the torrent is uploaded by the kind ppl before i can download the show and watch it.

But results show is like more nerve-wrecking and it's a must to watch it live. performances can be watched later.

I'm charging my cell phone as we speak! I can't see the voting only being 2 hours. It's been 4 hours on finale night for the last 2 years I have voted. If they changed it back to 2 hours, then obviously something fishy is going on and TBTB trying to manipulate the outcome for sure.

With that being said, I want Cookie to have the time of his life up there on that stage. He deserves it for working so hard.
