You know, just thinking about his performances tonight, it truly was like watching his concert. More so than any other night. I guess because of all the people in the crowd.

I have a feeling that I'm not sleeping much tonight...It's 6 am here when the results are up,and I will mostly likely be up since 4 becasue I can't wait!!!!!!

He is American Idol already. Doesn´t matter if he will win or not. When I watch his video "The world I know" and saw his face after performance I had tears in my eyes. It was so sensitive.

I sincerely hope he is!!! He most definitely deserves to be. I just looked at a certain place and they show he is but text voting isn't taken into account which worries me. Is voting finished everywhere now?

I'm in the UK and went to bed at nearly 4 a.m. Its 7.45 a.m. now and I've hardly slept and am now up to get ready for work. I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight either!!!!!

He left it all out on that stage... and let me tell ya, in my humble opinion it took some true... kahonas, if you will, to opt for a song he'd never done rather than a repeat. And what a perfect song it was!!!!!

He IS my American Idol. As for the official word? I've got that sneaking suspicion the rest of America agreed.

I should just say here. Nobody has any idea exactly what David has meant to me and to my life. It is very strange because i know i don't really know him and at the same time i'm so damn proud of him for finally making it. Is that weird or do you guys feel the same?

Without a doubt, I feel exactly the same way as you do.

David is someone we can all relate to. He wore his heart on his sleeve tonight, the emotional and mental pressure of his Idol journey was released through his tears after his final song. He did a great job and I am sure you all agree with me that we are PROUD to be be Cookie fans!

David Cook will always be my American Idol.

I've just seen DA and DC perfomances and now I'm really angry!!

This is my point:

Ok, DA is a very sweet kid and he can sing wonderfully. But, come on, a star? Sorry, for me he is still too young and maybe too shy. It looks like the stage is too huge for him. It's just my opinion.

On the other hand, DC rocks the stage and in the final he proved he can really move the audience, sing softly and be very touching. Something a little different from we've seen. He take the risk.

And... What did Simon and the judges? Proclaim DA had knocked him out in the final.

I'm so angry I can't think properly!!!!!

I'm a spanish girl, I'm at work now and I can't stand this tension!!!!

Ok, so I'm not usually up at this time today, but I just woke myself up without any alarms or anything and this HUGE rush came over me and it was screaming "DC is the new American Idol" and I couldn't go back to sleep because I'm so nervous, I just had to get up. Now I know Dial Idol says he is, but like I said last night, I'm not sure whether or not to trust Zaba or Dial Idol. The gap on Dial Idol just seems crazy to me because I thought it was going to be really close.

I've never really watched American Idol before Mr. David Cook, so win or lose, he'll be my American Idol. <3

That and Mr. Cook has captured the hearts of thousands, inspired quite a few and kept his promise to a little girl... <3 (and not to mention, he's a sexy piece of man)

And no offense to little David, he has a good voice and all. But his performances are kinda repetitive... I think knock-out was meant to mean "out cold" he really sends me off to sleep. :S

Yes he did. I'm not going to deny that. Archie was DEFINITELY on his game last night. I thought Archie gave his best performances of the whole season. BUT the judges were just WAY too critical of DC and way too much on Archie's side. They acted like DC gave the worst performances of his life. I'm not going to worry about that right now though, last night is done and over with and now we have to focus on tonight.

Guys, Im so mad right now. My local news has already proclaimed DA as the winner. "Hes 17 and a Mormon" so that makes him overly special apprently. I have nothing against the kid I just dont think hes as great as everyone else is saying he is. He can sing sure... He has proved he can ballads wonderfully. But thats it.

I dunno. It has just gotten me so upset. And Ive never really cared about Idol like I have this year. Ive always watched and Ive voted. But like 10 votes maybe. Not 300+ (I was working so I got in what I could lol)

Win or Lose... DC will still have an amazing career, because WE want him too and HE deserves it.

I believe DC wins, and I really hope that. No one else deserves it as much as he does.

Considering he was already making good music and doing shows WAY before American Idol...

To have so many loyal fans and so many people believing in him, he has already won.
