I am optimistic. I logged off around 1:30am AZ time last night and was excited over the dial idol results. We kept around a 12 point margin all night, it would dip down, then go back up again. So, that tells me that the voting was strong and consistent across the country. I know DI is only a very small sampling, but you can make educated guesses on trends based on this data.

Now, to read about Zaba predicting a DC win.......

On the other hand... I don't know how it goes it USA but in Spain the winner of this kind of shows usually is obligated to do a certain kind of record, and it is never good. The ones that end in second place usually hace more time or whatever but the record are slightly better.

I cannot help but feel EXCITED about this. I know it's not official until tonight, but this makes me feel a LOT less nervous than I was not knowing the Zaba results. And oh my gosh...seeing that picture of David with "Winner" on it is an amazing feeling.

I will celebrate tonight. I'm trying not to get TOO optimistic so I won't completely get let down, but come on...you guys have to be excited LOL

The truth is that even if this result is not official at all, it makes you feel less nervous (I believe bad grammar here, sorry).

I'm glad I'm a little bit more calm right now, I was about to have a heart attack!!!

Anyway, I keep my fingers crossed for this night. Here in Madrid it's 6.38 p.m so I guess I'll check this site tomorrow morning (about 8.15 a.m) to see what happened.

If you look, it looks like only 300,000 votes. That must have been when voting first started. There was aparently 70,000,000 votes, so it's probably old. Don't worry Our Cookie is fine.

I hope so too. OK... I know we're all trying to stay positive but... why was Simon so mean to him last night? The judges practically crowned David A. right then and there, and it made me sick. My friend tried to convince me that they weren't as mean to him as I thought, but I just think they didn't realize how amazing his performances were cuz they're so starry-eyed over David A. I THOUGHT Simon and Paula wanted him to win??? Yeah, so the second song wasn't great, but that's not HIS fault. I've been so emotional all night and all day. I totally cried during AND after his last song. I can't believe that was it, and I'm not going to see him on my TV twice a week anymore. I hope he wins, I definitely did my part last night and VOTED a ton but... I'm still uneasy. Sorry so long, but seriously needed to vent.

I made myself CDs plus I have all the iTunes on my computer, so yes, I am listening over and over!

I don't know how Zaba gets their data so I have never really trusted them, but DialIdol is usually pretty good when they make an out-and-out prediction like that (instead of being within the margin of error or whatever).

I am also less worried about the texts not being counted on DialIdol because I know a lot of people were texting for Cookie last night for the first time. Me included! I sent about 3500 texts and I have never texted before.

I am trying to relax and stay positive, because this is really the best of all possible clues and omens(considering DialIdol and Zaba), but I am still REALLY nervous. I am making plans to be away from home tonight so I can just come home and find out the news after it's over. I am such a chicken, but I want this for him so much.
