I've not done a thing all day! Yeah, I'm just a tad excited!

I've got the CD on repeat in my car, usually at full volume - the people I work with think I'm having some kind of meltdown!

I also wrote this to one other thread here, but if you don't mind, I'll copy it here too.

I was just thinking.. I'm pretty sure that our David wins. One more proof is that when you look at Archie's forum and discussion about how much they voted, and compare that to the topic we have here about how many times We voted for Cook, you may notice that we've pretty much voted much harder. When I started to read Archie's thread and like ''I'm not sure, but I went about an hour straight''. Someone got 5 votes through in hour, so that means like 20 votes in 4 hours. Next one says that ''50 times or more''. The biggesr number I saw there was 1000. And here I have seen many people saying many times more. Oh and the thread is 1 page long, here it is 3 pages.

Ha.. It's 3.14 AM here to be exact and i'm contemplating whether or not i shud dose off but decided against it for fear of not able to wake up..

To be honest,I haven't really listened to anything else but David since,like,Billie Jean.Okay,maybe MJ occasionally.And I'm making my parents crazy when I force them to listen to David all the time.They do like him,though,but not the way I do XD

Just wanted to add here that I think Simon's comments were designed to send every Cook fan in the country to the phones like an effing ARMY in rage, and even if it was a very harsh tactic, it worked and that is exactly what happened. I'm hearing reports from all over the Internet that even casual viewers who liked Cook but never voted before got on the phone, some of them for hours.

And it's not just that casual viewers started voting, some of them seriously. Cookie was already picking up almost all the votes of people who voted for eliminated Idols -- Brooke, Carly, Syesha, and especially Michael and Jason. But those people who were so traumatized by seeing their favorites thrown under the bus must have gone completely nuts watching it happen so unfairly to Cook at such a critical time in the competition.

I heard that the Dreadheads went to the mat for Cook en masse and power voted all over the country, and they weren't alone. I think people across a huge, deep, wide demographic voted their fingers raw all night out of sheer Simon hatred and to save their beloved Cookie.

And I have every confidence that they've done it. I think when Ryan says tonight that your new American Idol is David......*significant pause*

the next word out of his mouth will be COOK.

I love Cook but I was disappointed with his performance when it really mattered.

However, I read an article from EW written By Michael Slezak about why he thinks COOK will still win this thing.
I was kinda convinced so I finally calmed down but it was too late to sleep anyway.

I think Simon did that on purpose to help David. Remember how Simon loved Carly so much and the night before she got elimiated he talked about how great he was and then she got elimiated. David called it the "kiss of death" a few weeks back. Maybe Simon was saving DC from his kiss of death.

Well, I'm FINALLY home from class. It's been a looooong day, even knowing the Zaba results. I'm still not 100% completely feeling secure at the moment...less nervous, yes...wary of the Idol producers, yes...wary that somehow Archie really will win, yes...afraid of getting let down after being excited, most definitely, YES LoL

I have to go run one more errand before tonight (I'm getting some cookie dough and some other stuff to celebrate LOL) and then I'll be good to go.

Honestly, the reason I'm really going out is that I couldn't stand to sit here for 4 more hours, wondering about what's going to happen tonight...so I'm going to keep myself busy

I have not seen the final show said I would wait until it shows here in NIRELAND on Thursday with the results show Friday but I cannot wait I have made a CD of all his songs, I am not a rocker but I have fallen totally for this guy he is incredible, could not stop thinking about him and this website all day wish I was there in the USA now waiting for the show to air and Mr Seacrest and all his 'eyeliner' to come on stage

I feel like I need to defend Simon for some reason. Actually, Simon was rooting for Cook. He said in his Jay Leno interview that Cook should win... However, he might be putting too much expectation on Cook during last night's Finale. After all IT IS the FINAL match. I think that if Cook has performed as well as he usually does in the past----It would have been a draw. The judges would be praising them both.

Thus, no powervoting from people. I think the negative comments actually helped Cook. Because, it seems SOOO UNFAIR for him to lose just because of one above average night when 80% of the time he has been on IDOL he was truly magnificent.

Ya know, before the FInale---I searched every poll there is on the web and almost all of the polls gave a David Cook-Would-Win result by a landslide (70% for him while DA believers were just 30%)

I seconed that motion.. 3 hours and 55 minutes left.. Gah.. I can stay awake for DAVID!! Feel like taking a shower at 4 A.M. just to wake myself up.. Cold one..

Just want to say that DC is the best overall talent that they have EVER had on American Idol. I will be and already am(with the judges biased comments last night for the other performer) disssapointed in the show if DC does not win. My boyfriend (a total manly man) LOVES DC and respects him as a fellow gentleman and amazing musician. I have never seen my BF of 3 years so into any other musican and it breaks my heart to think that DC may not win when he clearly deserves the prize. Just on priciple that DC has blown away the AI audience with Hello, Billy Jean, Always be my baby, Day Tripper, Elanor Rigby, Music of the night, and last weeks Roberta flack monumetal performance, he should win by a landslide. I will not watch AI again if he does not win as I will truly believe the show to be biased and completely untrue. If you feel the same please reply to this message I hate feeling alone in my strong feelings about this. THANKS ..DC all the way!!!

I deffenetly feel the same. David has brought such joy to my life these past weeks. I'm very proud of him and all hes acomplished and the greatness that is yet to come. I look fourd to seeing him every week and can't wait for the post Idol awsomeness he will no dout bring us. I support him in all his indevers and I'v come to love him, his goofyness his streanchth, his drive, his awsome talent and killer sence of style. I truley love him in every sence of the word and I hope he acheves greatness and world domination cuz he deserves it!!!!

...As for the performances, when Simon said that Archie went out to win it, I remembered what Cookie said earlier in the show. The competition is over and they're just having fun. It's not that he's not taking the finale seriously or he's being his "arrogant, pompous self" (adjectives care of Simon Cowell) He said that because he feels he has proven his worth in the competition and the 2 best people were standing there on that stage. It was really up to the voting public to decide not just based on that night, but on the collective efforts of both contestants throughout the show. And I felt that he did his best. Finale night is usually about glitz and glamour, but Cook is above that. He is TALENT PERSONIFIED. Not that Archie is not talented, he IS. It's just that he is still raw and maybe he felt like he needed to prove himself more to be able to win this competition. He unknowingly confirmed that by singing a song he got the best reviews for. In my honest opinion it was a move to remind the people WHY he is in the final 2. If David Archuleta waited a couple of more years, waited til he was more mature and can sing with more emotions, add that to his technical singing abilities then he might have wowed me.


I believe that we, the fans (of both Davids), have won. We are blessed with the emergence of a person we admire. So whatever happens, i'm okay with it (even if I voted my fingers numb... yes, and Int'l DC fans aren't the only ones doing it... so it's fair game) But I still believe that DC is THE American Idol... World Idol even!

RE: Simon's wink. I thought it was Simon telling DC that it was OK to defend himself this time. After All Right Now, Simon told him he had no charisma and DC defended himself to disasterous result...David has since kept his mouth shut tight after every judging, even when words such as arrogant, smug, and pompous were used to describe him...mouth shut, nod, smile, "thank you." So, I gathered that Simon was winking at him to acknowledge that he wouldn't give him hell for speaking his mind this time.

RE: not winning. He's indebted to Idol regardless of wether he gets gold or silver. They're going to offer him a contract regardless, and he's proven himself to be the type of artist who they can give some creative freedom to (already has Analog Heart ready to go on Amazon). Remember that they're in it to sell record, not control the artist...if DC sells records they will let him do what works.

I am constantly watching his performanceds from AI on YouTube. He just HAS to be declared the winner tonight. I won't find out till morning as I'm in the UK - don't think I'll get much sleep!

I'm anxiously awaiting tonight's show! All we can do is hope for the best! Regardless of the outcome, I am thankful for American Idol and for being introduced to David through this show.

3 hours and 3 minutes... Hahhaah.. i'm now scurrying over on my bed to fake a sleep as my mum would be waking up by now...

I need to stay off other sites. I'm getting nervous. I should have my kids in bed by the time the announcement is made. The only other time I've stayed up this late was the 2000 and 2004 presidental elections and the Astros/Whitesocks World Series game that went too the wee hours of the night. Oh, I forgot, I didn't sleep at all the night before my youngest was born at 6:22 AM. Hopefully, DC will do better than my Astros did. My husband, who is from Chicago, was gleeful. I want to be the gleeful one this time.

Idol startes at 8pm on the west cost and goes till 10pm!!!! Yay we don't have to wait as long ofcorse you know the results will be at the very end obvusly lots of suspence and filler. Is Daughtry supose to preform that would be cool I think I heard that some were. they need to just say Cookie wins then let us enjoy the show it would be better for all involved. I am sure Cookies poor tummy is all in knots he has to wait such a long time to find out that sucks big time!!!! Put a big smile on his face let him be victorius and make him Happy that is all I ask!!!! No matter what happens, he will always be my Idol, our Idol. If he cries, happiness or joy tonight, I will cry with him! (I swear I will!) He was ambitious with his songs, sang his heart out yesterday, and many people realized how much love he put into each song. I was trying to vote, but I only got through 2 times! But that's a good sign for sure! I'm happy to be a part of this community, and whatever happens, remember, he'll be our Idol and many other's too!

I think we are 5 hours ahead of the show time which has a start time of 6.00 pm, so by my calculation the 2 hour show will end at 1.00 am in the UK. I've got everything crossed for him.

For me , you're the American Idol tonight. You had consistently performed well and for that, we love you! I was so upset last night with the judges and I almost didn't sleep but I know that I had to relax because I am pregnant right now and can't be too stressed. So I bought all of your songs and your videos on IPOD and I listened to it all day and even my 2 year old tot was rocking to your songs. I know that even the baby in my belly is also rocking to your songs. God bless you David Cook and all the best to you. You and only YOU should WIN!
