Was just having this convo in IM with a friend in another state. There did seem to be an unusual amount of criticism toward DC last night. JMO. And Archie was definitely "on" last night. It's as though the producers really are trying to craft the coronation of the winner they want. Again, JMO.

I sure hope that they reward the most consistent contestant who has delivered the standout performances all season and not the kid who crammed for the final.

That's SUCH a great way to put it. It is kind of like Archie just crammed and decided that last night he'd pull out everything he had.

My favorite radio station is pimping Archie

They're out in LA and they were in the audience last night and they're saying Archie was "SO much better than David Cook"...and one of the DJ's has been a DAVID COOK fan this whole season!!

They interviewed Archie and DC and it was like this:

DJ: How competitive are you two feeling right now?
Archie: *says something about how they've both been great and done their best and blah blah blah"
David Cook: I was a little competitive growing up in school and everything, but how can you be competitive against THIS FACE? I want to get mad at him but then I'm like, "awww" *grabs Archie's cheek*

gah....I'm waiting on zaba to confirm a winner....this is getting to much for me. If David Cook doesn't win....I'm done with this show. I've been watching it from day one and only two people I've liked have won...so regardless of the outcome, season seven will be my last season. I can't take anymore of this...it's not healthy...lol. SO here's to hoping that my last season if AI goes out with a bang!!

I woke up this morning to David Cook's voice. Our alarm clock is set to one of the local stations and I usually just snooze there for a while while it plays, but this morning they did a recap of the performances and DC's voice just totally pumped me up for the day! He delivered 3 solid performances last night and I'm proud of him regardless of what happens tonight.

Ofcourse he'll win!! No doubt!

-sigh- It seems like every single media outlet available is declaring Archie the winner after last night, saying DC was nothing compared to him. It's just making me discouraged about tonight. I just won't be able to stand seeing Archie as the winner.

I'm really afraid to see the Zaba results when they come in. I still stand by my opinion that it seems like DI is off somehow, I'm not the only one saying it.

Yaps.. slight edge.. but it is known that this season will be a tight race for the win. Maybe the difference margin between them two will be the smallest of all.

I don't trust Zaba -- at 10:00 EASTERN last night, only ONE hour into voting they had declared Archie the winner. WHAT? They changed it later, but still . . . . you have to wonder.

I'm in Ohio mostl ikely listening to the same radio station, it's kind of sad that he was all about DC thru the whole thing and then changed his mind after last night. But to all the girls on this board, just wanted to let you know I have never activly voted on AI before until last night. I had my phone and was dialing my fingers off for three hours! That experience alone was fun and if DC wins or not the experience and journey was fun and he's got great fans in all of us here!

Guys, something is up. My local news media (local affiliates and radio stations) just started changing their story. They went from Archie-Archie-Archie to David-David-David. And this change in coverage started happening at 8:30 am ET (about 15 mins ago). Couldn't be Zaba . . . . could it?

Hey guys... I'm starting to get the butterflies yet i strongly believe the best man wil win and we know who the best man is..

Owh, I was trying to be unbiased towards the whole thing so i went and rewatch the whole episode and focusing more on the winning song.. Cookie's 1 was so catchy and it istantly clings to you.. I can really see the #1 on evry radio station available.. hahahah.. Achie's was typical idol winner syrupy-gooey melody and lyrics.. So I kinda get where Simon is coming from... For the past 6 years the confetti falling season ending song has been so melodically gooey hence it is unaccustomed for him to hear a total pop/rock kinda song for the win.. Just my opinion...

Btw, the bias me is saying I will pick Cookie's song over Archie's any given day..
