Anyway, after the finale and the first week of media blitz, I was worried how I would handle being Cookie-free...and remembered my good friend, Google. I'm sure most of you know that you can sign up for Google news alerts on any topic, well, I've signed up for daily alerts on David Cook. I know, I know....I have this wonderful board and all of your links, pics, and info, but I also wanted a daily e-mail update. (I know that you would all understand and not judge me to be too obsessive!! )

So, just go to Google:

Enter David Cook, and instead of hitting Search, go up and click on News:

Look at all those stories! Then, scroll down to the bottom and sign up for daily alerts:

I use this feature for work. It helps me to keep abreast of current news stories on topics I'm interested in. I also did this for Bo Bice I was really hoping his career would take off a little faster. Anyway, hope that helps!!!

Thanks, just signed up too. i think we will be limited to radio interviews and local tv appearances for a while during the tour. The next big media balst will be when the new single comes out- can't wait!

There will be some TV interviews here and there during the tour. If you have a copy of the tour schedule and know what city they are going to be in and if that city has a Fox affiliate, then you can check that city's station to see if they have a video clip of an interview. With the Google alerts, sometimes you will get emails from national newspapers in the city they were performing in with a review of the previous night's concert. Some reviews will be good and sometimes, some will be bad. Sometimes it all depends on if that interviewer is really an idol fan or not. lol

I'm turning 34 at the end of the month and I've been having the same thought lately ... I feel like I'm a teen. I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about a rock star. I feel like putting his poster up on my wall In fact, maybe I will.

I even ordered dog tags that say my word nerd # and "David Cook rocks my world!" on them. I can't wait to wear them proudly.

I'm having so much fun with this ... and the best is yet to come, I think.

I've met both Stephen Colbert (saw him when he performed at Second City in Chicago) and Jon Stewart (got an autograph on his book and shook his hand) so if Cookie appeared on either of their shows, I would be down to one degree of separation! WOO WOOOOOO!!

Besides, he would fit right in and be hilarious and adorable, and I would be smiling the whole time.

Excellent idea. I hope they book him. (But since they're both in NYC, I suppose it would've happened this week if it was going to happen. Maybe after the tour is over... Yeah, when he has a record to promote. He can have a sing-off with Colbert!)

So my question is....now that Idol is over and the right star crowned...now that the post Idol media blitz is over...however do we maintain our Cookified ™ addiction until the tour starts? Short of stalking the poor boy, which I don't condone. For now, I hope he's basking on a beach or catching some serious ZZZZZZZs, but how do us poor addicts cope without regular new fixes of himself? Short of haunting Youtube or playing his performances overandoverandover.....

I spend a lot of time in the cougar thread of the Word Nerd area, feel less stalkerish there! I even recently was throwing out a tub of ccokie dough mix, and cut out the word "Cookie" from the label and laminated it to keep in my car! Thanks again for the idea~

Yah so I just joined so of course didn't see this topic before. Ugh! The only thing I got to see him on was Ellen! I mean he looked good and sang amazing(of course) but I want all the David I can get...specially since I can't afford to go to the concert! I am going to be looking for some YouTube videos for that!! LOL!

Letterman was on vacation when DC was in NY last week.
Guess that means he won't be on till after the tour.
David was in Tulsa Friday and spent the weekend at home in KC.
Flew back to CA this morning.
I read he has some phone in radio interviews scheduled early this week.
Then off to rehearsals.

We're new to the board but our "Cookie love" goes way back to the auditions. Is there an actual list of DC's scheduled performances or are they just in various threads? With TiVo and some dumb luck, we've managed to get several of his appearances recorded but want them all!! This weekend we rescued a duckling and have named him "Cookie" after the "Big Cookie". Thanks for putting up all the videos everyone. If we can help at some point, we will.

I saw this on a few sites, but it's not on Leno's official web site yet. His site goes week by week. It's probably correct, but I guess we should wait to see if that gets confirmed.

A fan posted that at mj's blog this morning as a rumor basically, nothing confirmed yet. I checked too and it isn't on the page yet. By the weekend, they should have up this week's schedule.

Has everyone seen that both Davids are scheduled to be on the View on June 24? Interview and performance, with the show taking place in Las Vegas, according to tvguide.com.

I heard about this this morning ... I am so happy to have 2 Tuesday appearances coming up in the next few weeks ... it's been so quiet without David's performances on Tuesdays

I just read that David is performing this Tuesday June 10th at the NBA Finals in LA at 8:30pm EST on ABC.

I emailed Travis to tell him yesterday so I am sure he wil update his appearance page soon
