lmao!
so true with me.

um ok...
you know you're a david cook fan when...
you can't help but smile/laugh at any site or mention of the work cook or anything with the word cook in it.
Sleela
When you giggle every time you see the Peter Frampton Geico commercial.
When you get messages asking where your weekly "Vote For David" Myspace bulletin is (I wasn't home and didn't have Internet access last Tuesday night, so I didn't get to post one. I got like three messages asking if I didn't like David anymore, haha.)
When your friends know it's no use to call you after 9:00 on Tuesdays because your phone will be busy.

All true for me.
Fedfan
When you waste countless hours each day voting for David on the AOL poll and you know it doesn't count for anything anyway.
luvindc
when your friends know not to call you during AI hours and after hours
when my mom tells me to turn down the music
when coworkers tell you to stop humming to Don't Say A Word
when my sister says "Your on that board again"
when you start singing DC songs without noticing it and a friend tells you "you're singing it again"

all true for me
Rita
When everyone knows why your phone is surgically attatched to your ear for two hours after the show on Tuesday nights.
When David Cook/Axium takes up your entire "Top 25 Most Played" list on your iTunes.
When you come into school on Wednesday and all your friends are braced for a full blown play-by-play of David's performance the previous night.
When you come into school on Thrusday and all your friends are braced for a full blown play-by-play of David's portion in the group medley. smile.gif

I'll post more as they come to me.
luvindc
When you go to work on Wednesday and tell all your coworkers that David is the best
When you go to work on Thursday and tell all your coworkers that David is safe
When you don't realize that you're singing one of his songs and your family says your addicted, get a hobby (i'm driving my sister nuts, with don't say a word or all right now)
StephyDee
When you Shuffle Songs on you iPod, but skip all the other songs until you come across an Axium or David Cook song.

When you keep asking at work on Wednesdays who saw American Idol the night before, asking for their favorite, and get mad when they don't say David Cook or "the rocker one!".

When you scare your parents by laughing manically and uncontrollably when something funny happens to David on AI.

When you always play a song or two of his for your mom to hear, hoping to make her a fan and root for him. *OMFG, "The Truth" JUST CAME ON MY iPOD! GAH!*

When you are in charge of putting together half of the Official David Cook Fan Scrapbook (this goes for starshineangel as well! happy.gif)

When you listen to him in your sleep from your iPod and wake up happy....truly happy.

When you are a member of this site! (heehee, you know it's true!)

Haha this is so true. The first thing my friends ever say to me on Friday mornings is 'How was David last night?'
even though that sounds vaguely dirty. xD

-When you get really angry whenever some disses him or his hair (shouted at my sister multiple times for this. she's more of an archuleta girl.)

-When you start thinking up song choices that David can do for certain themes absentmindedly.

-When you really, really, want an orange wristband like his.
Katt
I can add to that last part. ^^ When you're considering to ask Charlie Belcher to ship you an orange wristband. Seriously. laugh.gif What? I WANTTT ONE!

I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING!
Happy Easter btw. Candyy! laugh.gif

She actually made me make her a CD of all my DC/Axium songs so she can listen to it at work.
And makes my dad turn on AI just to see him perform, then turns it off.

When you have every possible song you can get of DC/Axium.
When you're on an airplane and the trivia question is "Who discovered Hawaii" or something along those lines and one of the choices is "James Cook" so you pick that one for obvious reasons. True story.. hey it was right! tongue.gif
When you're on a mini vacation in Arizona and still go on this board when you get the chance. I'm hooked.. hehe.

Or...when you go to see Horton Hears a Who ONLY because you know David saw the movie...and if you see it too it means your practically married.

(There's a character named Jessica in the movie...I couldn't help but think he watched a movie with my name in it....so we're practically married. laugh.gif )

Um...

You have a David Cook playlist in your iTunes.
You check iTunes the minute after he sings a song expecting it to be avaliable to buy (but it's not untill thursday)
You want EVERY PICTURE of him you can find.
You (or your friends) refer to him as your boyfriend or 'other boyfriend'.
You check You Tube after the show so you can watch him again.
You remind everyone that American Idol is on Tuesday and you have a 'date'.
Your boyfriend is wicked jealous of this other love of your life.
You feel like a 12 year old girl whenever you see him on TV.
You're already planning on seeing American Idol on tour.
You burst into Eleanor Rigby (or the like) without thinking about it

and...

You're on this website every hour of every day!

hah! That's the only reason I agreed to go in the first place! I'm really sick right now so I really haven't been up for much, but as soon as I heard that my family was going I perked up.
Stefernie

I guess this goes under "You know you're an AI fan when", but...

when you get a call from Checotah, OK, and tell the customer "Hey, that's the home of Carrie Underwood!"

You're walking around in the mall (or shoe pavillion in my case) and just stop dead... because you saw something that looks like one of the outfits David wore in a performance/results show... lol I saw the sunglasses from the photoshoot. My mom looked at me like I was crazy, she's like "Those hardly even look like the same ones!" but I'm sorta kinda in denial.... lol unsure.gif biggrin.gif
Karen.
you have to work so you try to get your co-workers/friends to watch and vote for you

Haha, that's funny! When my best friend (also a David fan) calls me, or vice versa, we answer the phone "Hellooo... is it me you're lookin' forrrr?"
What's funny is that we have an inside joke involving that song from several years ago, so we both, like, SPAZZED OUT when David sang it that night. We refer to it as "our song" now. Hahaha, we're such nerds.
StephyDee
haha awesome....do you try to sing it as well as he did? ROFL not possible though

I'm not gonna brag, but I think I can sing.....I wanted to try out for AI this year, but I was too busy and I couldn't go (omg, imagine if I was in KLC's place now! I WOULD! O_O STUPID ME FOR NOT AUDITIONING!)

haha jk jk I'm probably not that good...

Hey, you never know if you don't try! I say if you think you're good enough, go for it.
I've got a friend who auditoned for this season and was able to actually go on to audition in front of Randy, Paula and Simon (as I understand it, there are a couple rounds of preliminary auditions before you are sent on to audition for them... I didn't know that until he tried out.) Anyway, he wasn't shown on TV, and he got a yes from Randy and a no from the other two, but they all encouraged him to keep trying, so he's going back next year. He's a REALLY great singer, and just a hella nice guy. I so hope he makes it eventually, that would be so exciting!

(If you care to listen, he's got some songs up on his Myspace. I'm seriously not being paid to pimp him out or anything, lol, I just think he's awesome and I'm proud of hi for getting so far.)

When your teacher calls you Mrs. Cook when handing you a paper.

OMG one of my teachers did this the other day and at first I was like WTF? How do you even know? Ha, but then I remembered his desk is close to mine and that's who I talk about through the whole entire class period...

Your hands or your face. My dad said mine was really red after David sang. I guess it was because I was going NUTS for three hours before the show and when it was all over I was exhausted.

I know that feeling. I still feel a little worked up! I've never been so happy to see someone do well in this competition in my life! But then again there's never been anyone who could even hold a candle to David Cook.

YKYADCFW....

You play the youtube video of your favorite song over and over and over and over and over and over...
davidschic
I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE and I am guilty of almost all of those things..

BUT there is something you guys forgot..

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A DIE HARD DAVID COOK FAN WHEN:

You are already planning on what to wear to see him on the Idols tour so you look incredibly hot when you "accidentally" bump into him AFTER the show.. and then he immediately falls head over heals for you and asks you out and then.... yada, yada, yada you know how it ends!

Ok, well maybe it's just me thinking this, and you can fill in yada, yada, yada HOWEVER you want too! ( I wanted to keep this a PG rated reply OK?)

Team D.C!
When.. Your close friends realise that your songlist is on "repeat-DC-mode" and they go Oh Nooo..Not again, You and Your David Cook!

^^ Been happening recently lol laugh.gif

When you start screaming and laughing cause you press on "Cook" on your microwave and you didn't even have too, it was an accident! (true story!!!) loll

And I want to share a little story here:

Last week, I was watching Don't Forget The Lyrics and I was thinking "Man, I would be bad at this cause these are all old songs that I don't know... The only song I would be able to do is Hello because I'm like always listening to that song because of David" and THEN the host of the show said: "Here are the songs you have to choose from "Blablabla by Mr.Blabla and HELLO BY LIONEL RICHIE!!!!!" True story!!!!

I almost die!

Rita..

Thanks for agreeing with me on this...

But I sure hope that we don't see meet him at the same time, then we might have to decide who gets to bump into him first.... well, I guess I would let you bump into him first and then in return I can get the first kiss from him..
How about that? LOL
