So we all know that big David has won the American Idol. Yes, what a landslide victory!Big David defeated small David Archuleta by 12 million votes! Even though my personal vote went to big David, 10 years of working in a teeny bopper magazine like Galaxie has taught me that guys like small David tend to have a better chance of winning any idol-based competition. He's got loads of commercial appeal -- young, cute, white and can carry a tune. But oh boy, I was wrong this time around. America, you've made the right and wisest choice. I salute you (that includes you, big David)
Interestingly, the tough as nail Simon Cowell also felt compelled to apologise to big David for his harsh words. "When I went back home and watched it, it wasn't quite so clear-cut as we called it," Simon said. "David (Cook), I will take this opportunity to apologise, because I think I was verging on disrespectful to you. You're tryers, and you've both given it your best. You're both nice people and, for the first time, I don't really care who wins."
Well, Daughtry had better care. The grungy-looking big David looks poised to give his Idol predecessor a good run for his money.
