I had the radio on today at work, and guess what was on....

I think that is the quickest turn around that AI has ever had, I know Kelly Clarkson "A Moment Like This" hit the radio pretty quickly, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the next day. So start calling your local radio stations and request it...we made him the American Idol, and I'm pretty sure that we can make his single the most requested!

I heard it at work today too. I work in Canada!!!! It was amazing, customers were laughing so hard at me, because i was so emtional....

Everything pretty much, its mostly current stuff Rock/Pop but it throws in 80s and 90s from time to time. But it was great to hear him on the radio! I squealed, thank goodness no one was around.

I was driving home from class today and it came on my radio station too! I totally cried, btw lol

I haven't listened to the radio yet. I'm gonna see if it makes it on the top countdown on a station I listen to at 9 pm.

I was happily shocked when at 5am this morning driving to work - David starts singing to me!! The funny thing is - I started crying!! Hadn't cried when he won, I was too excited & on such a high - but hearing him sing on the radio made it all so real to me!

haha... i don't actually have a radio. i live by my ipod. and i don't have a car anymore since i'm in the city, but even when i did (and when the radio in it was actually working) the only radio stations i would listen to were country. recently the rock scene has been dead to me. i listen to music on my ipod that is like 5+ years old now... i'd been really hurting for some new (good) music. of course i also have my top 20 and hip-hop guilty pleasures that i hear in bars/clubs. I don't care much for Cookie's single. I mean, sure he sings the hell out of it, and i love his voice... but it's still a corny unsubstantial song to me. what i really want is that damn unreleased material that he has been sitting on since idol started. grrr.

I heard the song on the radio the next morning here in Canada! I was super excited! I cranked it up and listened to it!
Now I've heard it about 6 times so far on the radio!

Heard it on Kiss 108 this morning.

I want to give everyone some advice. I posted a thread about this yesterday, but I will repeat it here. Most of you are familiar with mj's blog site. Someone asked her over there if they thought they should request the song and this was sort of her response.

Basically, she said to leave the promoting of the song to the label or in this case the show for right now till we know for sure which label he truly will be signed too. She said to refrain from calling several stations in your area and one of the things that has been emphasized over and over is to not call stations outside of your listening area because if DJ's are hearing from the same people over and over and if they are calling stations outside of their listening area, then the DJ's will get royally ticked and won't play the music at all.

One of the posters over there said this morning something pretty wise I think. She said if you happen to hear the song on the radio and want to request then, hey nothing wrong with that but basically she was saying to wait and save your energy for the "real" 1st single from the album. These coronation songs don't typically take off with a bang. Some said they heard This Is My Now a few times for a bout a week and then they didn't hear it anymore. That is pretty typical of the coronation songs. One of the fans also said this too last night. She said cross your fingers and pray that the record label (whichever one that might be) will make the right decision on his first single. Of course on the other hand, we may end up being surprised at how well this song does but I agree with her that we should save our energy for the official first release from the album.

I haven't heard it on the radio in MA yet, but other people have said that they have, and we usually keep 92.9 on at work, but I haven't heard it yet. But then again - I tend to not listen to the radio and listen to either my ipod or a CD in the car (Currently, a DC mix that is holding me over until the album comes out!)

It's exciting that it is getting radio play though!

I know this doesn't count as radio, but I had the Celtics/Pistons game on in our office and my mom had went in there. I just walked in to say something to her and all of the sudden I heard this song and I started flipping out like, "Omg It's David!!! Where's it coming from?!?!" lol. Turns out they were playing it with some clips from the series so far. It was neat. Made my night.
