I don't know if this was posted elsewhere, so I apologize in advance if it was...but, watching the finale again today, I could not get over the HOTNESS of David during his performance with ZZ Top!! I mean, to be honest, it's a total spooge-fest to watch that performance!! Anyone else feel this way???

Oh God yes...to be honest, that performance literally made my body temperature rise because I felt really hot afterwards

I LOVED that performance. It was definitely a highlight of the night for me. And seeing him with the new guitar, I loved it!

I think he's one of the most attractive guys (not only physically, but his personality most definitely) I've ever seen LoL I guess maybe because he doesn't look like the "typical" hot guy, there's no way he can be sexy. When that performance was over, a friend looked over at me and said "He could have been singing with 3 penguins and you wouldn't have noticed."

That performance was total hotness! I thought I was going to need a fan afterwards!

I thought it was an awesome performance! That little leg thing made me whoop it up and say, "Look at that!" I'm sure my husband thinks I'm over the top and probably is sorry he voted for 4 hours. No matter....he will get over it.

lol tell me about it... it took me almost the whole performance to realize it was his new guitar... and then i totally said out loud... "omg is that his new guitar" i was so cheesing through the whole performance... i rewatched it later last night and just couldn't stop smiling.

David Cook performing with ZZ Top.. it blew me away. David did so good. Even my husband, who is more than a little jealous of my affection for David, said that David did an amazing job.. he said it sounded like he had been playing with them for years..

His vocals were fabulous, really professional. None of the other contestants could have done what he did there. Sweet Archie could only sing a kind of back-up to One Republic, remember. This ZZ Top number show-cased David's talent and really proved again, as if THAT would be necessary, why 56% of the voters knew he was the only one to be the American Idol.

And yes, he is dead sexy in every thing he does, including the chicken dance. If I were ever to be granted my fantasy, it would be to have him alone to dance for me while singing not the phone book but the thesaurus--LOL!

I have never heard of ZZ Top, I'm not too sure if they are well known in the UK or not so I wasn't sure at first when I saw them all together on stage.
The performance was amazing, one of my favourites from the entire season!! David dancing with his guitar does strange things to me....so sexy and I loved the 'guy-liner' The song was brilliant too, it's been stuck in my head since I heard it.

Hi. I'm from Chile and I never heard about ZZTop (I saw them more than once, but I didn't know the band's name) and I loved the song!!! Was like a Dean Winchester (from Supernatural, of course) favorite song.

So, I download the 'Greatest Hits' of ZZTop (and the Cookie version, OF COURSE, I have all his songs) and I liked very much ZZTop. But I must say that David Cook gave a plus to the song. He sing so better than the original singer!!! It's amazing and it's a probe, for me at least, that his success won't be only temporary.

I really hope his new album and the others after that. I hope he continues being true to himself and don't listen the producers who many times only think about money and not about quality.

In that song it looked like he was comfortable - no AI image machine, just DC. He had his vest, dog tags, jeans, pointy boots, t shirt and the scarf hanging off his jeans. Oh Yeah - that was DC alright!!

It was actually one of David's best performance in AI..well of course that includes Always be my baby and Billie Jean which wowed the audience.

When Paula announced David with ZZ Top, I was like, "No freakin' way!" I love ZZ Top; they're from Houston, which is where I grew up and where David was born (I was in junior high when he came into the world). Anyway, they are total legends, and "Sharp Dressed Man" is the first video of theirs that I ever saw.

(Useless bit of trivia: ZZ Top's drummer is the only one of the band without a beard. His last name is, ironically, Beard!)

Anyway, David fit in really well with the guys, and I just about melted when he did that chicken dance in the middle of the song. Yeah, hotness...

ooOoh! I was happily watching that performance, and when he did that sex knees thing, I practically went OMG OMG OMG OMG! I swear to you, I wanna be between those legs that at that moment! HAHHAHAHA!

Oh it was brilliant that they had him perform with ZZ Top AND to sing Sharp Dressed Man. With all the Cougars for Cook ~ at least THIS one ~ the song brought back incredible memories of my younger years ~ which made an already sexy ass man even more HOTTTTTTTT!!

This was one of my favorite David performances. Is there an mp3 of this somewhere? I'd love to have it. I downloaded the original ZZ top song but would love to have the DC version.

This COUGAR also thought it was incredible! I was telling my sister about it tonight--she likes DC's music, but doesn't think he is "HOT", and when I was talking about the performance, she said to me, "Dyann, do you realize your face is getting all flushed just speaking about him??" LMAO!! For those of us who came of age in the 80's, this song was DA BOMB!!

Yeah, I can agree with that. When I first started following him on idol I said I liked his voice but thought he was a little 'doofy' looking....I changed my mind about the doofy part now, but that's not what struck me first. It was his voice, the way he spoke and expressed himself (very intelligent man), and his attitude. Now I don't understand why people arn't attracted to him....there more than just looks people...so much more. (and he's got those too, so I don't get it)

As for ZZ top...LOVED IT! That and hero were the best of the night...but ZZ top more..because it's a guitar hero song, and I love guitar hero...and a sexy man singing it to me

The leg dance definitely did it for me but i also loved how he swayed back and forth to the beat right beforehand. He seriously has good rhythm which makes me think he'd be pretty good at other things
