Divayenta
Hello, my name is Divayenta and I'm a Cookaholic.

Everyone else here: Hi, Divayenta!

I've admitted to my newest addiction, first step down. And I don't want help!!!!

I live in the DC area (i.e) Washington, that is! and will miss the Verizon Center show, so I'll be catching the cookmeister in Atlantic City next month.

You might know me from some other boards , if not, howdy-do and looking forward to meeting fellow "cougs". Hee, my husband is a Capricorn like David is AND is a Washington State "Cougar"!!! How synchronistic is that? blink.gif

I am astonished by DC's musicality , heart and feelgood factor- a lovely man and artist!

I guess I'd be considered a cougar also, since I'm older than dirt, and my oldest son is 21. *sniffle*

Why do all the hotties come around when I'm ancient??

Yes, I am definitely a cougar age-wise. Brings me back to my teenage years and "crushing on the guy in the band." I even dated one because he was a rocker and everybody was jealous of me. LOL.

Let's see long hair to my waist, heavy eyeliner (lord those were the days), high boots, and I liked the Rolling Stones as my first rock band. Lord I wanted to like music again and what the world needed as a good rocker. Now the Stones were ugly as sin but I liked their music and mainly because my parents didn't. First and foremost I really do like Cook's voice and his music and I really think he's a fantastic entertainer and very talented. He draws you into the lyrics. Also you got to love a guy that's a rocker and sheds a tear....awe.....I wanted to reach out and hug him. I have to admit--he had me at Hello. Voted full time for him since then and even took leave on the Wednesday after the top 2 so that I could not only vote for him for 4 hours straight till 1:00 am., I had to watch dialidol until all the votes were finished. I couldn't believe it, after about 1/2 hour into voting--he was already in the lead, but he kept gaining and gaining and soon dialidol declared "there are no if's and's or but's, they predict David Cook to win and they predicted all past 6 winners correctly. Lord I was hoping this wouldn't be the year they were wrong. Zabasearch also declared him the winner --both by noon I think. I never got any sleep that night and when Ryan Seacrest announced "The Winner of American Idol, 2008 IS......DAVID...................COOK! Did you hear me scream! I'm sure you might have thought it was a jet flying overhead or a thunderstorm coming--no - it was ME.

That being said--I am not delusional about Cook but there is no doubt that I think he's hot but that's just stating a fact. I asked for an iPod for Christmas from my girls with the intent of downloading everything off of iTunes that David Cook did during the competition. Here I was walking around "plugged" in all day at work oblivious of people around me. The other day my iPod gave me dark screen and didn't respond. Talk about pure panic. I had all of his idol performances on there, his studio versions, videos, and anything I could find on YouTube to download. I used up half the harddrive already. Well I thought it needed charging because the battery might have drained (go figure...) and when I woke up in the morning -- nada. PANIC. I was prepared to go to Costco and buy another one with double the harddrive but thought I would google about it, found something and reset the damm thing and it worked. THERE WAS ONE HAPPY WOMAN AT WORK THAT DAY.

I am happy for Cook and that he's dating so that he can share his experiences with someone he enjoys being with. All work and no play isn't good for anyone. LOL He just needs to concentrate on getting his career going first. I mean he's only 25.

Love David also but I hate to break it to ya he's a Sagittarius
Capricorn starts on Dec 22 (my birthday)

Here's some of his astrology. (Sagittarius sun/Aquarius moon)

He can lead, hypnotize, inspire and transform others.
He's a most unusual man.
He is most trustworthy.
His natural bent is in the arts and drama.
His intelligence, integrity and his individuality are his strong points.
He is unintentionally spellbinding many a fair maiden.
He loves but a few.

Just dropping in to say Hi to everyone. I'm proud to be a Cougar who supported Cookie by voting her fingers off. I just found this place the other day, and love it! Hi to my fellow Cougars, as well as everyone else. It's great to be able to enjoy David's talents with so many!

Well, I guess I would be considered a COUGAR since my three "kids" are around David's age. I am a rock music lover and I love a good artist when I hear one. I have heard one in COOK...he is gonna be HUGE when he gets
his own thing going. He puts the melody back in rock music that some groups have dropped.

I just thought I would drop in here and introduce myself. I have been reading this site since it started but just
registered today.
I mentioned that I am not attending the Idol Tour..but will be there for Cooks promotional tour of his first
rock record as a launched star. I don't like screaming pre teens much. been there- heard that before.
