I don't have a particular list but one song I'd love to sing would be
Torn by Natalie Imbruglia.
This'll give me something to think up on the plane ride home tomorrow, thanks!

I would sing rap "Grillz" by Nelly. Because I can't sing to save my life, but my rendition of this song is a huge hit at parties.

Too Much Heaven by the Bee Gees. It was on the radio earlier and I was singing a long to it and I was like "hmm... this could definitely work."

For fun?
"Here In Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye
For serious singing?
"Angel" by Sarah Mclachlan (sp?)
and
"Then You Look At Me" by Celine Dion
Those two songs are so immaculate for me....and I LOVE singing to them....

Hmm...my singing experience extends only as far as the borders of my shower. Bearing that in mind, I'd isng:
- "The Freshmen" - The Verve Pipe
- "Cannonball" - Damien Rice
- "Calling Baton Rogue" - Garth Brooks
- "Glycerine" - Bush
- "The Boxer" - Simon and Garfunkel
I think my voice would tend toward country, but I am a huge 90s fan...

For the benefit of the entire human race...I wouldn't sing ANYTHING. There was a reason that I was the 'character actor' in drama -- the character actors never sang!
If I could sing, though, this would be my list:
"Bittersweet Symphony" -- The Verve
"Nothing Compares 2 U" -- Prince song, but the version as done by Sinead O'Connor
"Spiderwebs" -- No Doubt
"Ordinary World" -- Duran Duran
"Bizarre Love Triangle" -- Joy Division, but the version done by a group called Frente! way back in the day
"Not An Addict" -- K's Choice

I keep thinking about auditioning for American Idol honestly, but I'm a little shy & get stage fright, so it might not be the best idea.
However, if I WERE to audition, I'd probably sing..
"Fame" ;; Irene Cara. [Not sounding cocky, I swear, I just love the song & it suits my voice].
"Take My Breath Away" ;; Berlin. [I love Terri Nunn's vocals, & I can sing it really well.]
"Too Many Walls" ;; Cathy Dennis.
And just for laughs..
"I Write Sins, Not Tragedies" ;; Panic! At The Disco.
Hahah.

Always by Bon Jovi
I Want a New Drug by Huey Lewis and the News
The More Boys I Meet by Carrie Underwood
I don't know...I wouldn't want to do a song that a previous Idol contestant had sang.

For fun I would sing a Fall Out Boy song because you really
can't
But for a serious one I'd sing "A Day In The Life" By The Beatles.
My live version > MJohn's version.

I went there.

that's a tough question, I'm not a great singer so I'd probably get a nice "awful" or "dreadful" from simon in the audtions then be sent along my merry way. But if, just if I were to get on the show I'd sing:
"No Rain" by Blind Melon
"Tonight I Wanna Cry" by Keith Urban
"We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel (if I had to do a "year you were born" song)
"Only One" or "Two days In February" by the Goo Goo Dolls
"These Walls" by Teddy Geiger
but I'm afraid I"m bound to just singing bad karaoke XD

2. Yours to Hold - Skillet
3. Need to Be Next to You - Sara Evans
4. Everythign Changes or So Far Away - Staind
5. I Want You to Need Me or Taking Chances or All Coming Back to Me Now - Celine Dion

I absol. LOVE singing. I do it every day. Haha. I'd have to say either "Listen" by Beyonce or "Baby Love" by Nicole Scherzinger. Those are great songs.

I would say that My Immortal shows off Evanescence powerful vocals and that's why I love that song so much and desperately wanted to learn when I first heard it on the radio. I'm so happy now that I know how to play it on her CD and the radio version (with the drums and guitars).
I Want You To Need Me is another powerful vocal by the most and absolutely favorite singer of mine, Celine Dion. She is definitely one of my musical idols.

I agree with you....the chorus is so pretty and powerful all at once, with the verses flowing perfectly with it! ( I mean this for BOTH songs!

I am
not a Mariah Carrey fan by any stretch. Anyone curious about who will sing what? Is there
anything for the guys to possibly chose from?

Hah, me either. If I want to hear a porpoise-like screeching, I'll stick my head in the ocean where dolphins swim, thank you very much.
To me, Mariah Carey=No thank you.
I'm going to watch until David comes on and then change the channel as viciously as I can.

On the Brooke White tip, I'd like do to do a Corinne Bailey Rae song. I don't want to do "Like a Star" since she did that one, but I was thinking of doing "Til It Happens to You." After that, I'm stumped.
Miss Nickie
Jun 27 2008, 06:29 PM
Mmm I'd do:
Just A Girl- No Doubt
Don't Speak- No Doubt
Redneck Woman- Gretchen Wilson
Kerosene- Miranda Lambert
You Can't Hurry Love- Diana Ross and The Supremes
Wild Ponies- Kellie Pickler
James Padfoot (KN)
Jun 28 2008, 06:57 AM
I haven't really thought about this. I can sing decently, but not as good as the show demands for Top 24. Or so I think, anyway.
But if I did..
Head Over Feet - Alanis
Follow Me - Uncle Kraker
Surprisingly, I can also do
My Heart Will Always Go On - Celine (Won this at a school singing competition. Shocking, innit?)
And
I Turn To You - Christina A.

I'd probably do the Across the Universe version of 'It Won't Be Long.'
I am more broadway than anything else so I doubt Simon would like me.
But, when I go down to Florida, I am going to try out that AI Experience!
