...The majority of interviewers never watched the show, got a press release and asked the same questions over and over again. This time, they watched the show and asked great questions. I also loved the format - of them sitting at a bar.
Totally agree with you. The best interviews happen when the interviewers actually watched the show because they ask the types of questions that we have been thinking. It also helps that these guys are fans.

Always Be My Baby, Billie Jean, Hello and Magic Rainbow on tour! Maybe "Barracuda" with Carly doing vocals, Jason on drums and Cookie on guitar!! WOO to the HOOOOO!

...He
knows who is he as an artist, and he won't compromise that. And I think it's just the kind of kick in the ass that Idol needs!

I'm going to be thinking about the possibility of "Barracuda" every day now. It's a PERFECT song choice for Carly. She can totally kick ass on it! And
seeing David play guitar for her...wow...it doesn't get any better than that.

Yeah, he definitely needs some more up-tempo songs in that set list . . . TPTB, please note, Cook needs more than five songs (PLEASE!) - I'd like me some All Right Now, Day Tripper, INNOCENT (for the love of *&$&^@$**)!
*sigh* but I've heard all of those songs already! This tour is turning out to be a rehash of the show

How long are we going to have to wait before we can actually hear something trully new from him?
Really, he has to pick a more up tempo song for the 5th one. Perhaps "Dream Big" or "Eleanor Rigby" (i would die happy). If it's up to him, I'm sure that the 5th song will totally rock (he's been known to change his original song choice on the show in order to make it mesh better with the other songs assigned to him).
That "Barracuda"
better happen because it will so be worth the price of admission. I've been DYING to hear what David can actually do on the guitar. Up until now he's been primarily playing rhythm to his vocals and I can't tell who's playing what on the albums. Jason is actually a drummer...so that would be him in his element, plus Carly...day-um that song will rock.
YO, TPTB...ARE YOU LURKING HERE? *hint: this is what the fans want to see*

Personally I actually liked "Hungry Like The Wolf", but DAMN I wish we'd gotten to hear his take on "All Along The Watchtower". That physically hurts to know we just missed out on that.
Yes, i did just listen to "All Along the Watchtower" to imagine DC singing it.

...what David just said about the group numbers. I am so, so glad that he said what he did. Most of us hate the group numbers, you can tell that most of the contestants don't want to be doing them. Like he said, why do they make them all do those, most of them won't be doing something like that after Idol, so I just don't get it. He was so blunt about it too, saying they were "tedious" for him, but I loved it

Edit: I'm so glad to hear that he's going to fight to put what HE wants on the record. And I can totally see him doing it, too. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy to fight a little and then back down in the end and say, "Alright, fine, I'll do it"...I don't think he'll do that. That's why I think this is going to be a great record.

He was very diplomatic about that group number answer. Again, you gotta love this man...he sang them really well even if he didn't like it.
I want that record to have what DC wants that record to have. I'm sure he'll take suggestions/advice, but the final product should be his...just like each of his idol performances. I just hope there's actual new stuff in there...I don't want a rehashing of anything he sang in idol and realize that may be selfish of me because ABMB may be a great hit single for him.
