Question 1: What is something you're going to miss now that you're the American Idol?

David: I miss the ability to be incognito! While I'm grateful and humble to be here, I miss not having to worry about people snapping pics everywhere.

Question 2: Does your star necklace have any signifigance?

David: Yes, there is actually a handcuff on each side of the star & the signifigance is being hand-cuffed by being a star. I thought it was cool.

Q 3: How does it feel to not only be America's newest favorite singer but a sex symbol to millions of women across America?

D: LOL! I wasn't aware that I was a sex symbol. It's humbling. But I'm just ready to make music.

Q 4: Have any of the artists songs you covered contacted you?

D: Yeah! I was contacted by Raine Maida, John Foreman from SwitchFoot, & Ed Rollins from Collective Soul. They all had great things to say.

Q 5: Did your brothers illness have any effect on you and your performances?

D: It allowed me to enjoy the show a little more if anything. I was able to see it for what it was and what it wasn't.

Q 6: What are you going to miss most about your old life now that your a total hottie rockstar?

D: LOL! To be just a normal person. I will kinda miss that. This life is amazing, but it is not normal!

Q 7: You are a word nerd. Can you describe the feeling of winning in one word?

D: Hmmm...Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Q 8: You always handled the judges comments graciously. How did you learn that trait?

D: I learned it in week two when I didn't take it gracefully! On the show, you always have to be aware of what you do and say.

Q 9: What is one thing america doesn't know about you?

D: Wow. I have three tattoo's. I have a brain tumor awareness on my sternum, AC on the inside of my left arm, and a bleeding heart on my chest.

Q 10: Did you pull any pranks during the show?

D: No, I goof around, but I don't do pranks. I'm more of a smart alec. Tues night I picked up Archie and pretended to throw him in the crowd.

Q 11: Who do you think would win an actual boxing match: you or Archie?

D: Archie! He's too nice of a kid. He would have flashed me that smile & I would have let my guard down. Then he would have bopped me a good one.

Q 12: Who makes your boots? How many pairs do you have?

D: LOL! I get my boots at Boot Star in LA. And BTW, I wear a size 13.

Q 13: Do you think showing up at the auditions not intending to audition helped you?

D: Showing up not expecting to audition helped me have no expectations. Instead of thinking I have to do this, I went in thinking I get to do this.

thanks for posting this! i love how he is just so, geniune. all though, i can't believe he thinks its funny that his fans see him as a sex symbol, i mean, hello!? lol. C:

C'mon girls, he totally knows he's a sex symbol (how could he not with the epic fangirling?) He's just trying not to seem arrogant, or to let it get too much in the way of his music. But, at the same time, he knows 90% of his fan base is women, and he's gonna play to that (see: smoldering camera eyes) if he's smart (which we all know he is). BTW--did anyone else see Castro making fun of the camera eyes on AI Extra the other night. I almost died--he actually got it almost right! David thought it was pretty funny, too.

As for the boots...I'm sure he'd like (and will probably get) some free swag from that store, but I have to believe he was really saying "yup, ladies, all of your speculating is true. My *feet* are really that big."
