the cover of analog heart is a hand print, he has a t-shirt of a hand print, and look at the pose in his "innocent" performance..

i hope someone asks him that question biggrin.gif

WOW! That is an excellent question!!! You should e-mail that to Larry King Live -- there's another thread on this board that gives the link. David and the Top 9 will be on his show again on Monday and they're taking our questions! I'm sure if you submit it, it will get asked.

I think it's just a random coincidence. You do have good eyes for noticing that stuff.

Regarding the album cover, I'm not too sure why he used his hand print. It looks really cool though.
The hand print on his shirt was for one of the ford music videos when they were throwing paint at a car and I think the director, or possibly the stylist, came up with that one.
And using his hand in his performance of Innocent. I think he was just using it to show the writing, rather then wearing a shirt or actually saying 'give back'. It's a cool and subtle way to get your point across.

So that's what I think. Although, these are just my theories, and I could be totally wrong.

i also feel like a hand is more personable. like if you write "give back" on your shirt it means less than "give back" on your hand. because putting your hand out to a camera is like saying take my hand. i dont know if you guys will understand that. but it made sense in my head... haha
mypurplesocks
i have thought about that a few weeks back but after a while i just thought it might be a coincidence or something

so i am not so sure about DC but i love reading/analyzing someone's hand print or palm. to me a hand print is a print to one's personality/soul. you can just tell how the person is from reading their hand print.

A good question, post it to LKL! To me, any question other than: How did you feel on Tuesday when the judges proclaimed Archie winner yada yada is worth asking!
raina(:
seriously.
how many times have we heard:
how did it feel, were you expecting to win, what kind of album are you going to have, how do you get along with archie, what is in your future, do you regret not repeating a song, why did you cry, what does ac stand for.
like dude. we get it.
i cant even imagine being him having to answer the same way every time.
Canadian Cookie
you forgot one : how did it feel when Simon apologized to you?
DC's answer: Simon's blunt and honest.
Poor boy.. he's said that numerous times

laugh.gif I feel like that's the only question I read sometimes.
raina(:
yeahh.
and then david says: i really never felt disrespected. he was just doing what he gets payed to do.

Here's my theory on the hand bit...

A very wise and famous lady once said
"If you need a helping hand, look at the end of your own arm. You have two. One for helping yourself, and one for helping others."

Eh...just a thought! lol

i have no idea how dc actually meant for the hand print on his cd to be interpreted but i always associated it with the whole bloody hands macbeth reference. i also associate it with the way a child will get handprints on everything when they are playing in mud or paint...etc and they make a mess. well i feel like he really gets down deeping into his heart on this album making a mess and then leaving his dripping messy handprint.

but what do i know... wink.gif

OK here is a REALLY stupid question. Unless the "GIVE BACK" image is flipped, isn't it written on his left hand? He's left handed, so maybe someone wrote it on his hand for him? Unless he's what do you call it? I always forget the word.. ambidextrous (there is a word for you word nerds)

LOL totally random I know, but, I just noticed it.

That's not a stupid question. I was thinking the same thing, and I believe that someone else wrote it on his hand if it's on his left one.
I mean he could be ambidextrous, maybe that's something we don't know about him yet! laugh.gif
