Everyone thinks it's so funny that I get so excited about David Cook. I told them my story about how I was shaking and crying and screaming when he won. And I listen to him all day long. They get so sick of it, LOL! And they will say, "You're so 13!"
I don't care. As a 24 year old woman I have every right to pine over his complete utter sexiness! I had a dream about him the other night too... HOT! LMFAO!
I'm going to print out a picture of him on photo paper and frame it and put it on my desk. My friend Dave has pics of him and his gf... I'll have one of David Cook! I'm so getting made fun of again on Tuesday, hahaha!

Oh dear goodness, I KNOW! I can't get over how damn sexy he is! I mean, as a musician myself I've always been partial to musicians, specifically guys that can sing and play the guitar. I saw David on AI and was just like "I NEED TO EITHER MEET HIM OR A MAN
JUST like him!" LOL!

OK, I'll admit it. I got teased at work for a long time -- until finale night.
I was completely *into* this season of AI, when I was previously just a casual watcher. I had never even voted for any contestant before, and suddenly, I was striving to hit thousands of votes per week.
The guys I work with were into the show -- until MJ and Carly were voted off -- and they would joke with me that if at any point during the show Cook got voted off, they would *not* be coming to work the next day, for fear of my mood. lol.
Well, all of that changed in the last two weeks of the show. One commented that he was glad to see DC cry at his homecoming, because he didn't seem quite as arrogant (again with the 'arrogant' -- you don't want to know how many arguments we had over that!).
And when their DVRs cut off that night, just as Ry Guy said, "Winner is . . . . David . . . " (cut), they were all over my Blackberry, demanding to know what had happened. When I told them "Cook, I told you this at 4 pm this afternoon." They said, "Oh, good, so we can move forward with our seven hours of meetings tomorrow then."
Now, they're just making fun of me for going to six shows this summer. I don't care - it's going to be a super summer filled with DC.

Oh my co-workers are always teasing me, especially because I'm a "cougar" who loves Cook!!! In spite of their teasing, they all voted for David every week, to support me and my cause. I came in the day after he won to find, cookies, flowers, and balloons, congratulating me on his win! It was awesome!

I don't get teased as such. Dad and my bro don't care and Mum thinks I'm a bit crazy.
I don't get paid out for it though.
Nobody much else knows who DC is over here, being in Australia and all.

I don't get teased at all. There are 3 other women at my work who all love David Cook on the same level as we do here.
It's awesome..I used to only work M/W/F because of school so I would go in Wednesday and we'd talk about the performance, compare votes, and talk about how excited we were for the results. Then on Friday we'd swoon over the group performance or the Ford commercial.
I'm going to miss that a lot actually..I just got sad thinking about that since last week was the last time we would ever be able to do that.
Oh well..we can still talk about things. Some of them have tickets for the Idol tour also so I'm sure we'll talk about it come early July.

I work at Curves and I'm very happy with the people's reactions. They keep checking in with me about what is happening now. I think they all love Cook. I think I may have gotten some of them to vote last Tuesday with my antics. Not vote like we know how to vote, but, every little bit helps.

As far as being made fun of.....let 'em try. I'm happy and secure in the fact that I love great music. Everyone where I work knows that and I'm always telling them about the local groups I support and about great music in general. David is uber talented and I have no problem spreading the love about him. Call me crazy, yes, but I think people actually enjoy the excitement of seeing a good musician appreciated.

I get teased all the time! My co-workers think that a 27 year-old having a cruse on a celebrity is immature. I also made the mistake of telling my boss that I cared more about who won AI than the presidential election...oops! The only people who doesn't tease me are these really sweet girls in the office next to mine. When I came into work on Thursday one had left a post-it note on my door that said, "Hey Tara, Whatcha got COOKin' today?" The other one ran up and gave me a hug and said, "I'm so happy for you and David!" At lease they made me feel like I'm normal.

Only ONE person at work told me Congrats when they heard he won! The rest of them just rolled their eyes and made fun!
People just don't get it! And I hate how they all dismiss his music simply because he was on AI. He's talented! Give the music a chance before you make that call yaknow? People... *shakes head*

LOL! My bf pretty much is influenced by me! He is impressed by David, but my endless rantings about him, made him actually to take the effort to listen to analog heart and now, he is even more impressed! YES! I succeeded in turning him into a wordnerd!

But, once in a while, when I happen to talk sexually (LOL) about David, he will pout and say "Why don't you think of me that way?" LOL! I just smiled..

Yeah...I am a 25 year old married Word Nerd and everyone gives me a hard time about it! Not so much for it being David Cook...most people at work and home agree that he's one of the greates singers that ever exsisted and they all love him...but I get made fun of more so for the whole American Idol hype. Apparently the show is supposed to be for 16 year olds in stuff...but I don't think that's true at all! I do have one friend that doesn't think he's all that great looking and I have pretty much come to the conclusion that she is blind as a bat! I don't care my love for him and his voice and music and clever lyrics obviously make me a bigger dork and "Word Nerd" and I am fine with that!

I'm still a pre-teen, and I have a really annoying older sister who won't stop bugging me and going through my personal life. She gets mad at me when I listen to my ipod while she's talking to me, she's like "Can't you put those earphones off? You can listen to your little crush later!" It's annoying. Plus my mom also does that. Whenever I go with her to her office, she tells her officemates about my obsession with David, sometimes, I just want my mom not to share it. And how did she even know?

My sister obviously told her

.
At least I can come here to let all my troubles go away.

Married and feel the say thing. Kinda think that in order for him to keep the fame alive he needs to stay away from dating and focus on music to keep his fans. This whole Kim thing is not what I wanted to see from him since he won. He needs to keep his class with hard core work and show us he's about his talent not what blonde wants for further fame, that she would have not gotten if she would have not been asked on a dinner date with DC. Come on David lets stick to the talent and the fans that gave you the title. We are the ones going to enjoy listening and watching your music. I really don't want you to get all caught up with what girl is going to be next to you and get her fame. I want you to be that classy 25 year old that shows us you, not hollywood guy. You tells us music is your life, now TV's all getting caught up in your love life not your talent.

Haha funny story. Ive actually been waiting for this topic. Since day one of American Idol, well top 24 at least. Where I work, we have a truck come in every monday with some of our product. Well i work with my best friend which is awesome, But anyways, she came up to me one morning and said did DC show up yet? And i looked at her like she had 2 heads and i was like "yeah okay, DC's coming soon" . She said " oh seriously when did it get here" I was so confused. So i was like , you mean Cook right? SHe laughed so hard, and as she was laughing I finally realized that she was talkin about our DC order. I am a dork, but its good times. So every monday we talk about DC getting there, and who will "recieve" it first..... HAHA, i love my job!!! I know it's a lame story but i had to tell it....

Actually people at the army (my "work place" for the matter) have been quite nice about Cookie. One girl keeps making fun of Cookie's big forehead, but I suspect it's because she has nothing better to say and another actually watched the finale because I kept going on and on about him, and texted me when he won with "Cookie rules!" heh. She then proceeded to youtube his audition video. I think I'm getting her hooked.
Also, funny thing, on Sunday (yes we do army on Sunday too) we were all eating Ben & Jerry's "Cookie Dough" ice cream and I went "hey, we're eating Cookie Dough for Cookie!! YEAH!" they just ignored me

But no, was never made fun of. People seem to respect my dedication. Which is... weird but nice.

Oh gosh, I wouldn't say I get made fun of - but everyone enjoys my love for him. We had an Idol pool going here and I couldn't get in on it, but I told one of my friends to try and get David as the winner (so she could win if/when he did!) and she told me no, she picked Brooke white. Since Brooke got voted off, everyone at work would shoot me e-mails, leave me notes, call me up to get my idol run down and predictions. The day after David won I came into work and everyone was so excited for me, I don't think I stopped smiling once that day. Now I've got my DC wallpaper up on my desktop and everyone always laughs when they see it

I get made fun of daily, even after he won!
I work at a school and the custodians that work there have an AI pool every year, one of the guys who works in the section that I'm in started rooting for Archie because I love DC so much, so everyday we would just yell at eachother lol. He'd yell Archuleta, I'd yell Cook, it was incredibly amusing. So when it got down to the two of them in the finals I said that I would be making cookies to celebrate the win and that he couldn't have any because he was rooting against Cookie. I was nice enough to give him a cookie though lol and he said he wanted a recount, 12 million votes don't lie!

OMG! I'm still in high school so I guess some people find it excusable but all my friend get so mad when I talk about him! But I always tell them that there's just so much to talk about! It's true! he's just such an interesting person! You figure out something new everyday! Not to mention I'm in love with him. he's so hott, funny, talented, sweet, romantic, smart, and sensitive! Everything I want in a guy! I could go on and on about him which is why people get mad. Because he's one of the only things I talk about. Because something random will pop into my head and it'll remind me of something I heard or read about David Cook.

My coworkers taunt me just for watching AI. Today I returned from a week and half vacation to find this on my computer:

Along with other random DC pictures stashed throughout my office. Apparently there's more that I haven't found yet.
