So good! I liked that there were some different questions asked - about how he ended up in Tulsa, etc. Looks like you had a good chunk of time with him, it's a pretty long interview ! Thanks for sharing it.

Agreed! So glad that interesting questions were asked and not just the same ol' song and dance. This is a great solid interview. Thanks for sharing!!

That was a great article! I loved it!

I wish the talk show people would ask him different questions, like you did.

Thanks for sharing!

please don't go around passing this off as your interview. all you did was take his answers to questions from a previous interview and write longer more complicated questions.
Mizz Afrikano
the dude is just soo smart.
there is however this one question he completely answered it wrong:

"how com you are single?"

like duuuuuuuuuuuuuh, he haven't met me yet.
Blacklight_Special

I feel like I learned a lot through that interview....especially about what he hopes the upcoming CD will be like. I'm very excited about that and hope it is everything he wants it to be.

What a great read! I love hearing him say that he wants to make a record that will "make the hair on the backs of our necks stand up." What a visual! Thanks for posting! wink.gif

Very good interview. In know many of David's fans find him hot, etc., but I hope these questions about why he's single don't take over future interviews. I get the impression he is all about the music. If he's been traipsing around the midwest for a decade trying to get a foot in the door, that means he's very dedicated to it, and maybe that didn't leave a lot of time for relationships. And, he hasn't made much money until now, so that plays into it too. You can't really date if you don't know where the next dollar is coming from. But, I'm also sure he has had relationships--he mentioned going into that left-over pain for songs like Hello--so maybe he's gun shy, and now, being famous he will have to look out for all sorts of people who want him because he's DAVID COOK, not just a cute, talented guy in a bar band. He strikes me as having a lot of class and will keep his love life discreet as he can now. He needs to concentrate on his work and put out the great album we are all waiting for.

Actually, no, I didn't. This was a conference call interview with a TON of media outlets and my magazine was one of them. American Idol, Top Model, other reality shows do media conference calls now with contestants. So, yes, this is legit and yes this is my interview.

TvGuide, People, Ok Magazine, my magazine, etc. all participated in a conference call with David so we will all have the same questions and answers. Some media outlets use all the questions, some don't use every one, we use it all.

I wonder what his album will be called.... huh.gif

Wait.. I just realized that this is from USA Today's interview...???

Wow! I learned more in that interview than in the other 30 bazillion I've watched/read in the past few days. Really great stuff! Thanks for including all the questions asked.

I totally think it's cute that Andrew is studying to be a teacher.
musiclovermom
Great read! I'm always left wanting more when I read
one of his interviews. He's truly a fascinating guy. I love
that he's so into getting back to writing and creating and
it's what he loves.

That should work out pretty well since we love what he
does .... sometimes before he even opens his mouth. LOL
I don't think he could ever disappoint us with anything he
does. He's taken songs I never thought he could do a thing
with ... I've always ended up loving them.

This quote struck me really made me smile, anyone else
feel that way? We love you Cookie!!! tongue.gif

"I attribute the finale vote discrepancy just to my fans just
being awesome."

Bravo!
This is really a nice and informative article!
You asked great questions and his answers gave us lots of information that I never knew before.
I think it's the best interview I've read.

(The only thing I don't like is the distracting chirping noise in the background. I wanted to listen to his music while I read it, but the chirping/beeping overpowered it. Eventually I just muted the computer and enjoyed your fine article in silence. ...)
DavidCookIsAllThat!
I saw this interview on youtube somewhere, I'll try to find it.
