So I've heard from a million people that the easiest way to meet David Cook is to meet the buses before the show when they're signing autographs. I was wondering if anyone knew how early you need to get to the arena. My two friends and I are willing to get there at 6 in the morning if we need to. We are going to the Rosemont, IL concert, so if anyone knows how early we should get there, and where we need to stand it would be greatly appreciated!!!!
give me some DC
Yeah, I want to know too!
Is it like super early?
Because if it is...I'm screwed.

I'm bumping this because I am curious. I know a lot of you have gone to Idol shows in previous years. What time do the buses show up? Anyone been to Allstate specifically? It's so huge! I feel like I could get lost. Haha... I'm starting to wonder what I've gotten myself into. I think I'll be the oldest person there (not including parents).

Hello everyone,

I am new here and actually just joined today. I was just reading some forums and stuff and came across this one and I thought that I would answer!! I was at the Idol tour last year and I met 8 out of 10 by waiting by the buses. Now we ran into the security gurl that actually is touring with the idols and all the idols had to be inside by 4pm because they had to do press and after that was meet and greets. It could of course all be different this year but I would try to get there by noon and just stand around. You will prob see buses of the crew and stuff...I know that last year they had like a coloured piece of paper for the idols on the bus. I think there are either 2 or 3 buses for the idols so there would be 3 different colours..ie pink, blue and yellow!! Anyways if you get there by noon you will be able to get a feel of where the buses would be and you may see them actually pull up. They don't all come out right away. I think I met Blake at like 3 I don't really remember. I would just say try to get there by Noon and see what happens. I hope that helps!! biggrin.gif

WELCOME TO THE BOARD, lisalan!! Hope you have a lot of fun playing around and posting in here!!!!

I just turned 35 this past Sunday. I can't believe what David Cook has done to me. I sincerely hope to meet him before the Dallas, TX show...or at least to be in close proximity to him. Will have to keep an eye on this post!

NOTE: ALL others going to concerts before us -- please post tips for the rest of us on how early to get there!!!

definitely keeping an eye on this thread!

I'm heading to the Worcester, MA show on 8/10 and I'm dragging my younger sister with me (haha not that she minds... at ALL), and both of us are determined to meet DC before the show...

sooo anyone else going to that show/know what time they're showing up already?

My day's already cleared out, so I'm willing to go whenever... and I'm sure I'll get sis to go with me as early as I want haha

It honestly depends on the venue.Where I live you cannot even get near the buses and they threaten to arrest you if you even go near them they have some stupid policy where they say it's private property blah, blah, blah. So basically in order to meet the artist you have to wait on the other side of the road to meet them and trust me I've been there tons of times and no one ever comes to the other side. Now I've been to Nationwide ( in columbus) and they park the buses underneath the garage and usually they come out.Depends on the artist. I hate to say this ( sounds stalkerish) but I know alot of autograph collectors and various fans stake out their hotels. So you might meet them that way.
