Full Version: 5 Songs Singing on the Idol Tour??

Hey everyone, I saw on Larry King that he will be singing Time of My Life (of course) and it looked like DC was ready to name all of the songs but Larry had to move on to the others so quickly. I would love to know all 5 songs he chose because I'm going to the Idol concert just to see him!! If I could pick, I would love to hear:

1. Don't Want to Miss A Thing
2. Innocent
3. Billie Jean
4. World I Know
5. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Too bad he can't sing Radiohead's Creep because I love his version of that one. So, tell me if you know the setlist!!!

Totally bummed that he only gets five songs! sad.gif

I think his set will be dependent upon the overall flow of the show, imo. I would lose my freakin' mind if he did Innocent! (Love the song and love his rendition of it most of all! Sorry, OLP-ers!)

Your suggested list might have one too many ballads in it for the end of the show? Not sure the end of the show can hold 3 ballads (Billie Jean, TWIK, and IDWTMAT).

Honestly, who am I kidding? I don't care about what he sings as long as I get to be there (a few times) and experience his art live and in person! He's a phenomenal performer!! And I am stoked to be able to take in more than a few shows. It's going to be a fantastic summer!!!

My picks:

1. The Time of My Life (you know he has to do it anyways)
2. Hello (the song that made me notice him)
3. I'm Alive (gotta have something he can rock out with)
4. Always Be My Baby (that song was hot!)
5. Dream Big (2 minutes of it wasn't enough)

As much as I love some of his ballads, rock songs make for a better live show. Innocent I would worry about seeing live because when he did it live on Idol, it wasn't as good as it could have been (the studio recorder was much better).

1. Don't Want to Miss a Thing
2. Always Be My Baby
3. Billie Jean
4. World I Know

2) Eleanor Rigby
3) Time of My Life
4) Billie Jean
5) Dream Big or the World I Know, or I'm Alive

Haha! That's the reason why I'm not going to see the Idols tour. $50 for 5 songs PLUS I'll have to sit though 3 Jason songs (sorry, Jason fans) and 3 Brooke songs (I used to like her, but now I find her whiny).... and the seats they had left weren't too good sad.gif

So I've never been to an Idol show, but I remember when Chris Daughtry toured after season 5 he only did one song that was from the show...the others were new. I have no idea what they did last season though.

We'll just have to make due with the 5 songs...at least some of the other performers are worth watching...that's why I'm going this year.

OK...maybe we'll get more if we make a concerted effort from Day 1 in Glendale to have him encore. Just overload him with positive energy and beg for more! Get him on a fan-induced high where he can't help but keep singing for us.

My AI performances I'd like to see him reprise on tour: (1) Day Tripper (2) Billie Jean (3) Hello (4) Always Be My Baby (5) I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. If we get to see him perform DC/Axium originals: (1) The Truth (2) Let Go (3) Therapy (4) Don't Say A Word (5) Fall Back Into Me.

Random answers: I would love it if he could sing some Axium songs. I love Silver. - I heard DC say on Larry King that it was only going to be 5 songs sad.gif I don't care, I'll take what I can get. -I would love to get his autograph-I have floor seats in Rhode Island-

I'm hoping they give him a little bit of wiggle room during his hometown concerts. I, too, am only going to see David. I'm taking in enough shows in different parts of the country to see if they allow him any freedom and/or how his part of the set progresses.

I'm going to three of his 'hometown' shows, so I really, really hope they allow him more than 5 songs!

to those who have gone to idols tours in the past

do they only sing songs that they have performed on the show?

because i would love to see dc tackle some new songs... and i think if he is permitted to do that... he likely will. maybe TOML and 2 other reprises and 2 new ones would be a good mix.

i think he will likely do ABMB but i really wanna see him rock out on a song. like sharp-dressed man or all right now...

He talked about the tour songs in a couple of interviews already.

Currently, he's set to sing 5 songs: Time of my Life, Hello, Billie Jean, Always be my Baby, and one 5th song that has yet to be decided (please let it be upbeat)
There's also talk of a possible group effort with Jason and Carly on "Barracuda". (vocals: Carly, guitar: David, drums: Jason) That would be too freaking cool.

Has that one been confirmed? I really liked it, but don't think it's upbeat enough for the existing set list.
simplyglamrous
I feel like that's wayyy too typical, and they should allow him to mix it up each night - and play songs that AREN'T from AI. Ya know, mix it up a bit? Goodness.
