I really like him too. I think I'll probably join that site too!

Please don't get mad at me David A. lovers, but I honestly don't like him.
He gets a LOT of attention, and a lot more praise than other contestants
do when they deserve it as well. The compliments sound like he's the best
thing that happened to American Idol, and his reaction is always the same
like, he's breathing heavily like he can't believe they said that even though
he KNOWS he's good, and he is good. There's just something about him

I LOVE David A!! I just want to hug him and not let go.. he's the most adorable thing! Plus, his voice is incredible. When he sang Imagine.. OMG! It was amazing. Everytime I listen to it I get the chills. He seems like the sweetest guy.

Two words about David A.: Over. Rated.
You Tube him sometime, he's been on Star Search, some Utah show...he doesn't need AI to be successful at all. He's in the way.

David H.: Theater. He's a strong singer and works the crowd pretty well, but I can't help but look at him and think "You were probably the lead in every school play weren't you?" That's not star power to me at all.

David Cook: Love.

That's how I feel about him, and I also agree with DavidCookLove that he's overrated. I don't even find him good looking as nearly all the girls are saying.

I think the kid's pretty good, but the comments on YouTube suggest
that most teenage girls (mainly my age..-_-) are voting for him just because he's cute.

I honestly don't find him as attractive as they say.



... But his voice is quite incredible, haha.

He's adorable, and I feel weird for saying that because he's almost a decade younger than me! Watch out, that kid will grow up to be a real hottie. Then I can safely ogle him without feeling guilty.

i like David, he's a talented kid, but i do feel like a lot of hubbub is being made over nothing. I don't think he has a shot to win for various reasons. I also think that he peaked with Imagine and that chances are he's not ever going to have a BETTER performance than that. He's only going to lose steam from there on out. Plus, it SEEMS like he's starting to fold under all the pressure and desire to live up to the hype surrounding him, after last week's performance. But it could just be one week, we'll see how he does this week. I feel like he'll place around 4th overall.

Oh yeah and I totally do NOT get all the girls my age screaming over him... he's not that good looking and he's 17 for God's sake...

I will admit that David Archuleta was my favorite choice for frontrunner from the beginning. Throw in that I'm a huge Beatles fan, and what he did with Imagine - and I pretty much pegged him for a shoe in to win it.

However, over the last few weeks since then, my opinion has changed. Don't get me wrong - the kid has talent - and a lot of it. But I think last week showed us exactly what he's made of. Forgetting the lyrics on Idol is Idol suicide and even if it's just for that reason, he won't make it past the top 3. I don't think he'll have to worry though. He was well on his way before Idol came along - and he'll be fine after it's over.

I think we're going to see him continue his roller coaster ride over the next few weeks. With Archie, I think it's all about song choice - and besides Imagine, I don't think he's picked anything good yet.

I think that David A. is adorable/cute in the "Cute Puppy that you want to adopt" kind of way where as David C. is hot, sexy, gorgeous, and amazing!

I agree with the over-rated comments.
I'm not going to lie, when I saw him during the auditions, I thought he was perfect. But then I kept watching him and listening to his stuff and all the "OMGDAVIDARCHULETA" feelings kinda went away. I still think he has a great voice.
Then I see that David A's been on Star Search (and won), and I think that was his chance. He has an amazing voice for someone his age. He knows that, the judges know that, America knows that.
I just think he's getting so many votes because he's young and has that baby face you just wanna take home to mom and love forever. Not to say that he doesn't have a good voice, cause he does, but he probably has 95% of the teenage female population voting for him as well.

While I'm going for David C 110%, if David A puts out an album, I'd more than likely buy it.

Since everybody is posting their opinion, I'm going to put in my opinion

David Archuleta is an amazing singer. Ever since he did Imagine, I thought he was going to AI, but he's overrated. Majority of the votes are coming from the teenagers. He's a year younger than me and he's okay looking. Reminds me of what happened to last year's "supposed to be" winner, Melinda Doolittle. He'll probably be in the Top 2 with David Cook, if it remains a talent show, not a popularity contest.

On the other hand, David has great personality, great charisma, sexy, girls falling in love with him because he plays the guitar, a werd nerd, sexy, can sing, one heck of a good rocker, sexy, etc. If this was a talent show, David could win this hands down. I would buy his tickets and CDs in a heartbeat.

No clue. I was about to go back and give them a piece of my mind, but I didn't want to give them another hit to make them think that they own us/DC.

Hey, okay, obviously I'm a David A. fan, but David C. is definitely in my top 3... David A., Brooke, David C.

And about the thread on the David A. site, it's just that so many people have been bashing him, even some of his fans on there, it makes us, all his true Arch Angels, upset because we still love him, even after forgetting the words.

I know, I know, he forgot the lyrics. Come on now. He's only 17, he has to do school during the show, and his dad puts A LOT of pressure on him to do well. In case you haven't heard about that, it's rumored his dad made him cry during a rehearsal, and wouldn't give him any water until he got the song perfect. But none of us know for sure.

And earlier someone said something about him being 17... What's wrong with being 17 I have to ask?!?!?

David definitely has not done as well since Imagine, but hopefully with David C. catching up to him, he'll do better and we'll have a competition between to two.

thanks for being so level-headed. i really don't think we need a huge fan rivalry, cause I know lots of people (including me) who are fans of both davids.

I agree that the competition between those two is gonna turn out to be really exciting! haha good luck, and there's nothing wrong with being seventeen at all. =D 'tis a good age. ^^

I totally understand thathe has to school and balance pressure whie being on this whirlwind of a show, so I can see why he could screw up. It's not like we haven't done stuff like that before either
But on a MUSICAL level, David A just isn't my style. He's cute, and talented, I can admit. But look through my iPod. I'm more of a rock-vibed kind of person, and that's why he's not my favorite. I think he pulls the heartstrings of every teen girl in the USA, and beyond, at one time or another, and the judges always love him no matter what. If my dreams of DCook v. Michael for the finale don't work, then I want him to put it up against David A., since he is an amazing guy and probably the most competition DC has right now.
I odn't want to start anything, but I just don't know if David A. should be the only frontrunner in the competition. Think about it. Wouldn't that be an AWESOME finale? And about being "Disney-esque" There's nothing wrong with being young, but he just reminds me so much of the Jonas Brothers...and it gets to my head sometimes. Don't get me wrong.
