My hubby called to tell me David was on the radio. I couldn't believe it was WMMR 93.3.
This is Philly's oldest ROCK STATION. and he was on with thet morning DJs, Preston & Steve. They are very popular, especially with guys (because they are so obnoxious).

Anyway David sounded great! He answered their questions in his own cool intelligent way!!! I think they were impressed with him. I don't think that WMMR will play "Time of My Life" but I will totally hound them to play what ever comes next from DC!!!

I couldn't believe it when I heard them interviewing David! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Preston & Steve! I was randomly flipping channels on my Sony Ericsson phone (it's a walkman phone) while I was on the bus this morning and heard Preston's intro about talking to someone coming off a huge win on the biggest show in the world... I was like, no way it's David Cook??!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!

Yeah, they DEFINITELY won't play Time of My Life, BUT since he was so cool and they absolutely liked his personality (basically didn't make fun of him after he hung up--which says ALOT about them... they have been known to bust on people WHILE they are on the phone with them...LOL), they will almost surely play whatever rock single he puts out next... this is really gratifying to me for some reason! They are hard nuts to crack!!!

Great interview! Great to hear them giving him props for what he did.

i haven't lived in the sjersey/philly area for a while now but i used to listen to this station on my way to school every day... i almost had to rub my eyes when i read that they had our David on there... i never would have expected it. did they play his single?

I feel it was great PR to appear on the sort of radio station that he will want and need to play his music when he releases his first album.

when you go to the podcast you want to forward to 1:12 and 40 seconds into it, since that is when David comes on.... it is pretty good!

I haven't heard it yet, but yeah, with this particular single, only top 40 stations are playing it now. That might change though in a few months though when the first single from the CD is released.
