Music had always been important in my life I always have it playing and I have no specific kinds I truly love it all!
I can remember when I was alittle girl so little prob 4 and my grandpop having a black and white movie on and this beautiful man with dark hair came on he was in a bar and began to fight someone and then it ended with a music number I remember even at that young the world seemed to stop when he sang and I was hooked on music!
the man was Elvis I sang and danced for everyone my whole life after that but somewhere I lost my passion for really enjoying and being enthusiastic about it I bought cds and all but I just listened not felt it. I admit I love kelly clarkson but I never watched her season until the reruns which got me to watch ai starting last season and I loved it but this season was different I learned to love music again and have passion for it.
I cant remember the last time a song moved me to tears and this season it happened twice when david A sang imagine for the first time I cried it was beautiful! (david a and cook were my fav from the beginning cook took 1st place as my fav from the beginning though:) )and when david cook sang the world i know his last song before he won. i cried the whole time he sang it was beautiful it was his soul just out here and i loved every moment of that performance and im so glad he went against the norm to sing it.
this whole season just brought so much excitement every week when cookie took the stage I loved every performance I found my passion for my love again and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank David cook for being so honest and true to his craft and bringing my love of music back to me!! he is truly amazing:) i am only 28 years old and elvis started my love for music years after his death! i know dc can do the same for many i see it in my 8 year olds sons face when he listens to cookie! he wants to be a rock star just like cookie he says haha i love it:)

THANK YOU DAVID COOK!!!~LORI

The music in my soul is back....

You've completely put my thoughts into words better than I could.... I've always had music in my life and in my soul... although I completely lack the talent to express that love.... I was in band and chorus in high school, but I was never a stand out - played piano and clarinet and sang soprano... even did a little high school music theater, but only in the chorus ...

somewhere along the way I became an adult with mundane responsibilities and the music got left behind... instead of listening to music to start my day, I turned on the news and all the negative energy that goes with that....

But, now thanks to David - the music in my soul is BACK.... I'm going to stop putting my passions on hold... life is TOO SHORT.... my boys are dying to take guitar lessons and it's so important for them to have music in their lives too... and I'm finally buying myself that keyboard I've been wanting forever and am going to start playing music too. Thank you David for reintroducing me to the music in my soul (said with tears streaming down, again...)
