Hi guys,

I was wondering, is there any way to make the security of the board more tight for members? Today I realized my profile as a member can be viewed by "guests". I'm not sure I like that idea. I have a MySpace page that is set at private, because I don't like the thought of "outsiders" being able to read about me and such. Is there any way to change the security format, so that our profiles can only be viewed by registered members?

Thanks,
Tamara

I don't think there is any kind of setting, maybe you should try suggesting it to Travis.

All I can say is don't put anything on your profile or this board that you wouldn't want other people to see.

That is the best suggestion I can think of. Don't put it there unless you are willing for the whole world to see it.

That's my view, as well. I haven't put much info on my profile because of that. I am just suggesting that perhaps registered members could have a bit more 'options' (so to speak) than guests.

Don't get me wrong, I completely get what you mean and I think it's a good idea smile.gif I'm just saying that the easiest way around it at the moment is to not put anything on here that you wouldn't want others to see.

I agree, and that's the reason I don't have much on my profile, either.

yeah i just browsed the settings and the only way to disable them from viewing the profiles is to disable them from viewing the boards themselves sad.gif

Aw man, that's too bad. Well, I appreciate you checking into it Travis.

Thanks.

maybe there are some threads that only members can view? i don't know if you can do that in this forum though.

Hi Travis - not the exact same question, but figured I'd just pop it here - - any way to not have to scroll past the full header once you get into a thread to read the posts? My wrist is gettin' weary with all the mousing wink.gif
