Though it's expensive (when converted to the local currency of my residing country + shipping & handling rates), I've still placed my pre-orders - doing so while I'm still able to do so. LOL.

Even though Amazon is a little more expensive than purchasing it locally, it will really look great if his numbers are high for pre-orders. I pre-ordered one CD and plan to purhase a few more for gifts when they hit the stores in my area.

I know I'm not gonna be popular for saying this, but I'm not gonna pre-order something I know nothing about. I don't know how many tracks are there, I don't even know the name of it. I only know of a price tag. Swell. David hasn't even started recording this, maybe he hasn't even started writing this and I'm supposed to bind myself to amazon? Hell maybe other stores will give better sales when the release dates comes? Cheaper price, bonus tracks, a bonus DVD only available in one store? No, I'm not gonna pre-order a product I know nothing about. I know I will buy this album, but I'm not gonna make a blind purchase.

It's a little much for a CD, I know it will probably not be that price once it gets closes to release, and it will be #1 either way, no doubt, but will consider buying if the price goes down a bit. David Cook will be rich either way, then he can come over and pay my student loans

I have pre-ordered the cd and can't wait for it to come out because I know the music will be amazing as is all of his pre-Idol work. Some people might think it's pricey but you don't pay until it is released and then you are charged the current $ for the cd because it is likey to be less than the current price listed.

The one thing about preordering is you don't always receive it on the release date. Of course I will preorder to help him in the charts, but will also buy ...uh....several on the release date!

I think the reason alot of us are pre-ordering it even though we might be able to get it for less later is
just to get David's ranking up there nice and early. I know some people have money issues and I don't
blame them for waiting in that case, but for anyone like me who can afford it, order away! Since it'll be
months before the album is out it's GREAT buzz for David to be climbing the top sales list like this so
quickly! It's an awesome way to show support for David if you can do it!

BTW, I just checked and it's up to #15 now! Awesome! Keep ordering! I may just have to go order
another one for a friend right now!

This is how it goes for all pre-orders. I usually do the pre-orders for albums I know I want. Point in case, Duffy. When I pre-ordered it back in March it was like 15.99. I paid 7.99 when if finally came available.

They set the price high because they don't know what it will end up being. Better to lower it on people than raise it on people. And you are not charged until it ships. It really is about creating buzz. Personally I will have the CD version cause I want my art work and I will also download it from iTunes the day it arrives.

Yeah, but still, I've seen many albums sold for one price on Amazon and go off for a lot cheaper elsewhere. And like some stores sometimes has special versions. Like one of the stores had a special version of Carrie Underwood's latest album with a DVD while the other stores didn't. As for Rascal Flatts - each of their albums on different stores had different bonus tracks.

Plus, I will never buy an album without listening to it first ever again. I've bought too many albums after liking the 2-3 singles I heard off them and ended up not liking them at all and regreting buying it.

There are enough people that will pre-order to bump up his sales right now. I will bump up his sale rate come release date.

PLEASE PRE-ORDER the CD!... i saw a site that LOVES DC..and they are alittle upset at the fact that the time of my life..is going to be on DC'S first cd! grrrrrrrrrrrr........we dont even know that to be a FACT..and even if it is...i am so sure it will be just a extra bonus tract on the cd..... David even said he is going to change the song up!..the reason i am saying PLEASE BUY IT! [pre-order] is b/cuz some are saying they now are going to wait to see if TOML is on it...it doesnt matter, i have TRUST and FAITH in David..and i know his CD is going to ROCK! we MUST keep David at the top! and support him...i have heard what david can do as a song/writer---singer...and he will put out a hell of a GREAT CD!

Don't quote me on this, but from things that I've read, he'll begin recording in a couple of weeks. I think he is, also, going to start writing the songs for the album while he is touring with the other Idol contestants.. I can't wait to hear what he has in store for us!!

DC has said he will begin writing songs and recording this summer while on the tour. Expect a fall release, my bet is early November.

Another thing I'm thinking, maybe with these incredible pre-sale results, he'll get more artistic
freedom because he'll have alot more power. Those RCA guys want to make money, of course,
and I think we the fans give David alot more say over his album than he would have otherwise,
if they think he's the next big superstar. They look at numbers, and the numbers look amazing
right now. So I think every time we pre-order or download his existing songs, we might be
helping him artistically too!

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. In Taylor's case, his winning song was a bonus track. I'm sure that is probably just an isolated group of fans. I wouldn't get too worked up over it. If they are making their decision based on that, it makes me wonder if they really are supporters of him. Some people though will wait until the release date to buy it based on the fact that they want to make sure they get it in their hands on time because sometimes you may or may not get the CD by the release date.

Just think how happy this will make David! Most of us will never meet him more than fleetingly
for a quick picture or something, but we are making a big statement here that he will love.
