I was driving around with my radio on. The DJ started talking about DC and how busy this man will be ( I gasp). The I heard David's voice. He was being interviewed infront of The Plaza. They did not identify the interviewer. Anyway, it was short. david said he was not worried about not sleeping, he'll sleep when he is dead. When asked about writing all this music while touring and getting a record out by mid fall. David responded with he'll get it done and he has an archive of music he wrote prior to Idol. I never heard him say this before.
Hmmm. think that means he plans on using some of his preIdol stuff? maybe from the album he was working on? I am guessing with all he has learned this year he would revisit and rework them.

That is interesting. From what I learned from watching the top 2 last summer talk about their albums, there is a lot of song writing and recording of course. They record tons and tons of material and of course it is ultimately up to the label what makes the final cut for the CD. I think if they really like his pre-idol material and think it is hit material, then they may let him put it on the CD. Blake's CD last year with Arista was all new material when it was all said and done, but you never know. It would be great if some of that material made the final cut.

Thanks for the info. He was on PLJ earlier in the week also (Tuesday, I think) and he said that he'd begin writing for the new CD "next week".
