The performance was very good, though it didn't have the soft part that was shown in the commercial. Also, I see the hometown was changed to represent where David came from, and not where he's at now. Go Blue Springs, and go Davd.

yeah they are called tv capture cards...you can buy it internal or external...mine is a usb program that i just plug in...then hook it to my cable and you can watch tv on your tv or computer..then record

Everything I Do was when I fell in love with David and so I'd really like to be able to watch the video on demand! (Which I did with the YouTube video until AI took it down.)

I would too. I just searched every youtube of Hollywood week and did not see that 2 second clip of "I'll Be". I think it was used in a commercial spot for American Idol back in January. I am POSITIVE I have seen it since that time somewhere. It must be floating around. He sounded amazing of course. It just grabbed me.

I can't find it, either...i know they showed something about it because i remember him saying "i got you, simon" since all the judges liked it. don't think they showed the entire performance, though. i don't remember david getting much airtime in the beginning.

I've been hunting far and wide across the intarwebs today looking for the "I'll Be" audition, and I swear to god I've seen a full version before but I could very well be crazy. The youtube clips available for Hollywood week are weird and one seems like it's missing a few minutes, which makes me wonder.

I did find a small, small clip of it, though, in the interview portion of "Happy Together". Not nearly good enough, and I'm going to hunt until I'm convinced they didn't show it. This could take a while.

Everything I Do by Bryan Adams and I'll Be by Edwin McCain are two of the songs I love (among hundreds of course ). I'm glad David chose these two songs because they absolutely matched his voice and adding his own style.

Add me to the list of people trying desperately to find a video of David singing "I'll Be". All I saw was a brief clip and I've been searching, without successs, ever since. Would love to have it.

Okay I just learned in another thread here that the reason why we can never find that clip of DC singing Edwin McCain's "I'll Be" is that Edwin has not given his permission for Idol to air it. Apparently aside from DC, Jason Castro and Michael Johns also sang it and we can never see it. I've read somewhere that this song is one of the most used audtion song in Idol history and I guess edwin can't stomach the fact that it has been butchered in the past and that's why he doesn't want it aired anymore. But Edwin, DC did a great job singing it...could you you just make an exception?

I just saw someone perform the song on "American Idol Rewind" from season 2 round of 32. Maybe Edwin withdrew permission after that but they are still showing that season 2 performance which was pretty well butchered like was mentioned previously.

David obviously had a slam dunk with it. The small portion we saw in the prepackaged video before "Happy Together" sounded wonderful. That is why we are all looking for more!!!!
