I wasn't sure where to post this, but just wanted to say that whoever put this really nice David Cook fan club site together has done a very good job and it's clear you are mature about how you want to operate this site and not let people say damaging things or otherwise I am a parent of 4 grown kids, youngest is 21, oldest is 31 - the great age for music of all kinds. This was clearly the best season EVER, and the energy that floated out of the TV in watching it the past 2 nights was amazing.
Why David Cook interests my age group is this: well, a good looking guy, scruffy, that sly little sexy but innocent smile, and his total transformation when he got a new haircut and such (clothes, too) made him not only awesome to watch because of his metamorphis on the show, but because he seems very grounded, and has that mid-west quality about him. He's 25 - just coming into himself, which is clear - he's got that raspy voice, graciousness and humble. He doesn't seem too phased by all the hype, although we know differently, and he was so classy on the win which melted everybody's heart. What a sweet guy.
Watching one of his early interviews he said he was a kind-hearted person and let's hope that it stays like that. I live in So Cal, and I know what going "Hollywood" will do - So it's with this American Pride Son type of sentiment that I am writing this in hopes that David Cook will remain true to himself, as he grows into a major star. It would be such a dissapointment that he would turn out to be this word-nerd turned rock hero who did not lead himself but got lead into that blackhole of show business. His mother was beaming and his brothers were so proud of him - what a gracious and loving family. GO COOKS !
Thanks for a wonderful site - whoever you are, you've done a beautiful job here. Keep up the good work.
My name is Funibonz - Southern California.

I don't think he will, he wil always remain true to himself...as he said on one interview..."I can't get a big head about this...my family won't let me"

Nice to meet you. I am in your age group and feel the same that you do. I believe that the close knit family he has won't let him get cocky, if indeed he started to get that way....which I don't think he will.
