i will preface this comment with the fact that i haven't watched american idol since the 2nd season. that being said, i decided to tune in a little this season. DA certainly had my attention to begin. however, i started to notice another person. one who was taking well known songs, arranging them and singing them as if i've never heard them before. always as good or better than the original. not just my opinion, but all i spoke with as well. it was great to see that all the voters started to truly believe that you were not to be left behind. and though i think DA is a great person and very talented singer, i believe there isn't a person who can deny your win deserved. throughout history the human race has had the priviledge to know a person who rises through the crowd via decency, intergrity and untouched piercing talent. einstein, the beatles, rosa parks, john kennedy, ghandi, schindler, jarvis, elvis, etc.

through the grays of time your light will pierce the heart of music touching everyone.
