Hi! My name is Jenna. I'm soon to be 26 and I started out watching American Idol this season "together" with a friend over AIM just for fun. I wasn't supposed to become a fangirl over some rocker guy. I wasn't even a fangirl type when I was in high school. wink.gif But here I am! :lol

And I forgive you for being a Bama fan! Don't worry, I have friends that root for the Tide and we haven't got in any fist fights yet.

Awesome! I was wondering if there were any other Tennesseans around. Where you from?

No problemo, Orange. I was once an admin on a Vol board, so I have a rapport with Vol fans. Even tailgated at Neyland twice with them. biggrin.gif

What board? I'm a member on the Rivals one...VolQuest...I used to be on Scouts aka InsideTennessee too.

Neyland...I miss it! Is it Fall yet? blink.gif

Volhouse, Orange. Good peeps over there, but I left because it is dying over there. Sure, I like Bryant Denny, but the atmosphere at Neyland is spectacular. Saw the Vols play Allbarn in '04 and UAB in '05.

Let's fast forward summer to Fall practice!! cool.gif

I've been to Bryant Denny...in 2005. That horrible game (well for me at least).

Indeed because unless my Braves start winning on the road...summer is looking kinda sad.

I'm super excited to see how the new offense does for UT. And anxious to finally see how Crompton does at QB. Arian Foster WILL be the leader on the offense without a doubt. He's such a good back he doesn't hardly get any credit.

Tell me about the Braves losing two straight extra inning games!! wacko.gif

We have a great recruiting class coming in, and John Parker Wilson better step it up with those new weapons at WR.

The game in '05 was one heck of a defensvie struggle, but thanks to Roman Harper and Jamie "Money" Christensen, the Tide rolled. I don't think you want to talk about the last 3rd Sat, do you, lol?

Tell me about the Braves losing another 1 run game. I almost cried. I'm going to ATL for my birthday to see them play the Mariners. I really hope they win...seems like every time I see them live they don't though. Sigh.

No. No mention of the last game...Not unless you want to read a lot of curse words. Making it to the SEC Championship kinda eased the pain but still...I HATE losing to Bama. sad.gif

I'm from Grundy County, but usually no one ever knows where that is! haha..
I don't know if you have ever heard of Sewannee, but if so I'm literally right outside of it!
BamaCook
I'll spare you the pain as that was the only solid game we played all year, and then LSU took the wind out of our sails. I usually get down to T-Town at least once a year.

Last Braves game I went to was '03. They won that day. I was going last year, but my plans changed.

Indeed I have. I'm from a really small town also...White Pine.

Last time I went to see the Braves was in '02 or '03 can't really remember for sure, but they won that day as well. I was in love with Tim Spooneybarger, and he actually got to pitch that day so my day was like walking on clouds even though I got sunburned to the point that it brought tears to my eyes to move!
Just thought I would add my Braves moment to the convo! haha

Yep over near Monteagle! haha.. I actually don't live in Monteagle, but I do work there. Thanks, it is very nice out this way. It can get boring, but hey, that's why I'm glad going off the mountain doesn't take long!

I'm lucky enough that my family has UT season tickets. I miss being in the student section though. I used to think if I didn't come home from a game and wake up with leg cramps and no voice that it was a disappointment.

My family tries to get to a Braves game once a year. I love 'em even when they make me sad. sad.gif

My Vol friend, my voice is hoarse for weeks after a Bama game, no matter who they play. I had Bama season tickets for 5 years and had to give them up. I sold the big games on eBay while giving some to my family down there. I usually chose the game or two I would go to before I sold the rest.

So, you was in the Big Orange Nation?

I had to look up White Pine, and I think I have been through there at one time. I know where Morristown is. There's a Rusty Wallace owned car dealership there.

There sure is. I work in Morristown.

I remember watching the Florida game and when the kick went through I was even screaming. I do like the Lady Vols, though. I have the utmost respect for Pat Summitt and how she handles her players.

The people I tailgated with are connected with VASF, and their home is one Big Orange shrine. Their son was in BON.

I am usually high fiving fellow Bama fans when we score, so not unusual. You're never strangers when y'all are fans!!

I may have known the son lol.

Yeah I love the LVs, too. Eight in '08!

I forgot his first name, but his last name is Penny. His dad is an attorney, and his mom works for the state in Nashville.

Gotta give props to my homegirl Candace Parker for giving the Lady Vols back 2 back NCs!!

Penny doesn't ring a bell. And, yes, props to CP. What an amazing talent.

I wish the Chicago Sky would have been able to get Candace, but she went to LA with Lisa Leslie. We ended up with Sylvia Fowles from LSU. The way Candace played with the separated shoulder to win another championship was great. However, that is just the way Pat Summitt coaches, stressing unselfish play.
