Thought I'd start a thread up for Maroon 5 fans, do we have any on the boards?

I first became a fan whilst listening to the 'Love Actually' soundtrack and I came across the song 'Sweetest Goodbye' and all I could think was, who is this singer and I need to hear more!!

It Won't Be Soon Before Long is one of my all time favourite albums, I love Songs About Jane but the second album is something else. My favourite song on the album is Back At Your Door, Infatuation and Until Your Over Me.

I absolutely loooove Maroon 5. I see them every time they come around Boston haha.

Last I saw them in October at the TD Banknorth Garden (previously the Fleet Center, previously the Boston Garden haha), and they were AMAZING!!! Adam Levine = sooo hott, and the music is amaaazing! I had the benefit of sitting pretty much next to the stage, and I could see everyone setting things up as well as them walking onstage...

yeah...it was an experience.

Hopefully I'll be seeing them when they come to the Tweeter Center on 8/2...exactly one week before I see the Idols in Worcester lol

I think they are a fantastic band. They put out great albums, and their live shows are HOT. Adam *definitely* knows how to work it!

"Shiver" has one of my favorite lines EVER - Enjoy the taste I leave in your mouth. Oh, the places my mind travels to whenever I hear that!

I go back and forth sometimes with my favorite M5 songs, but they usually consist of "Not Coming Home", "Must Get Out", "Goodnight Goodnight", "Infactuation", and "Story". And the lyrics of "Kiwi"!

I can't wait for the summer/fall leg of the tour!

I can't look at a kiwi the same way anymore.

I'm hoping they come back over to the UK to tour - they came over last year but I couldn't go to see them live.

What do you all think of the 'duet' they've done with Rihanna? I prefer the album version, the version they've put out with Rihanna has a RnB feel to it that just doesn't feel right.

I loooove Maroon 5; they're one of my all-time favorite bands. I haven't had the chance to see them live yet, but hopefully that will change eventually. Everyone I know who's been to one of their shows says that it was amazing.

And I agree with you about IWBSBL... Songs About Jane is great, and "Sunday Morning" is the song that got me into them in the first place, but the second album just blows it out of the water.

I love Maroon 5 too. I saw them, must be about 3 years ago, at a relatively small gig at the Hammersmith Apollo in London and they were fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! This gig had been due the night before, but Adam was ill so it was postponed until the following day. Even though I guess he may not have been feeling 100% the night of the gig, he gave 110%, as did the rest of the band and I was on a high for hours afterwards

I also saw them just a few months ago at Wembley Arena but I have to say I was a bit disappointed - Adam was somewhat drowned out at times. If, when they next come back to the UK, they do smaller venues again I would definitely go see them

I'm not all that crazy about the reworked version of "If I Never See Your Face Again" either. I think that song is hot, but it loses something with Rihanna in it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't fond on the Rihanna 'duet.' Wonder how it all came about, because you can't really class them in the same genre of music.

Have you seen the Crossroads episode they did with Sara Evens? I am obbessed with I Couldn't Ask For More and Real Fine Place To Start - Adam's vocals are gorgeous on both of these songs!

I never really listened to them until Blake sang This Love on American Idol last year. But then I heard that song and loved it and I went out and bought their cds and I've loved them ever since! They're really good

I hope I can go to their fall leg of the tour this year. We just saw them in November and the show was fantastic. I still have some videos of it on my camera. I totally recommend going to the live shows if you can. Adam is hilarious too. Some of the random stories he tells between songs are a riot.

The first (and unfortunately only) time I have seen them in concert was on Valentines Day 2004 when they opened for John Mayer. At that time, Harder To Breathe was just getting well known on the radio so I didn't know too much about them, but John Mayer definitely thought they were something to write home about. I agreed after about 20 seconds of listening to them perform on stage.

Needless to say, it was my best Valentines Day ever. I spent it with John Mayer and Adam Levine... only in my dreams!!

One of my favourite M5 songs, which doesn't appear on their albums - is Ragdoll, I love the lyrics and the piano start is gorgeous!

I adore and have to admit, I sometimes listen to it every night, If I Fell - Adam's vocals are perfect!!

Yeah, the entire collection of IWBSBL B-sides is only available on iTunes, as far as I know. They were mined from the different versions of the album.

It's a live version and it's very, very hard to find. I had a REALLY difficult time finding it, but I do have it on my computer.

Hello fellow Maroon 5ers!

Have any of you purchased the Deluxe edition of the album yet? I can't wait to get mine so I can finally listen to the B-sides and of course for the DVD.

Their big tour starts next week I think - hope all of you who are going have an amazing time, although I am slightly jealous of those of you who will be going!

Maroon 5 is one of the few mainstream bands I could listen to. I prefer "Songs About Jane" though compared to their second album. I loved their soul/rock vibe and I think that's what was lacking on "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". Just an opinion

Songs About Jane has a totally different vibe to IWBSBL - totally agree about it being a much more pop/soul sound, it's a nice chill out album.

I love the video, it fits really well with the song and I think it's my favourite video they have made. My only complait is I don't know which side of the screen to pay more attention too!! On a shallow note, it's double the Adam man-candy!!!
