There isn't a studio version of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Just the live one.

Let me check what I have. I know I downloaded all the singles, and the videos of the last performance, Hero, and Shout to the Lord... I have a huge load of his songs plus I bought the album from e-bay before it got pulled. Anyway I will get back to you... PM me so I don't lose this thread.

Weren't David's studio versions fantastic?
I could hardly believe how good they were!
Oh my god, Always Be My Baby!
And even when the performance was underwhelming, like Innocent, the studio version is just amazing.

I've been so curious when and how much time they spent recording them.
I bought nearly all of David's.
(But as others have said, there was no SHFWILF. And most others are shared here: http://www.4shared.com/dir/2801743/27475c99/sharing.html)

They studio versions are all incredible performances, the vocals are intricately performed, very powerful, very musical. No "slam bam thank you ma'm" mentality here in terms of how much care was taken to make a good recording ohmy.gif But, then again, maybe David is just so amazingly talented he can nail these things in a few takes (although I'm sure he worked a lot on the tunes before recording, he's a pro).

Billie Jean, Day Tripper, Eleanor Rigby I thought were awsome live already, but Always be My Baby and Innocent didn't really hit me until I heard the studio versions. Just jawdropping!

Where can u find the studio versions to download? I have been looking all over. Does any know if there is a longer version of Dream Big? David made it sound so good, it seems like there should be more... :l I am going to see him when the tour comes to Portland, OR. Just can't wait, in person is the next best to studio versions.

The Studio version of "Music of the Night" you can get from this website - click on on Music Player. I dont' think there is a studio version of I Still Haven't Found what I am Looking For.

Travis posted all of David Cook's studio versions here:

http://www.david-cook.org/David-Cook-Studi...dings-t258.html

Studio recordings were made starting from Top 12 to Top 3. If it ain't there, there was no studio version of the song. Hope this helps.

I agree... I'm always over amazed (almost tear me up) when listening to all his studio versions.
My favorite is "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" but all are really fantastic!!!
