Anyone ever notice that David is really a man of few words when being asked questions by the onslaught of reporters that he faces? He sooo chooses his words meticulously, albeit including a lot of Uhhs and mmmms. Even when asked questions like the proverbial, " what do you think about...", he answers succinctly but masterfully, and with concise elegance!

Oh, I've noticed it! His intelligence comes through on every single interview even if he's only had a few hours of sleep. He manages to never stick his foot in his mouth with his comments either and that's another thing I admire about him.

I think he has such presence. He is a wonderful representative for American Idol. So succinct and with a wonderful vocabulary. He also has a lovely quiet sense of humour which appeals to everyone.

I couldn't agree more!!! I think if everyone (especially politicians *cough cough* gwb *cough*) followed his example other people would have a much more favorable opinion of Americans as a whole...but then again the tabloids would be broke because with everyone being so perfectly honest...there would be no dirt to dig up...lol

I've also noticed that he just seems nicer with every interview! I'm guessing he's more and more comfortable with the process. Seeing him on Jimmy Kimmel, more of a "manly" forum than some of his other appearances, it struck me how he was just as at home there talking sports as he was talking about his music or "cougars" on Ellen, Today, etc. And it also made me think how uncomfortable it would have been for David A., who is adorable but so young and nervous. The powers that be at Idol must be very pleased that DC is their spokesperson.
I appreciate David Cook for stretching me musically on Idol, singing songs I'd never heard, and I'm sure he'll continue to do that on his album. But I know he loved singing "Music of the Night" (on one interview I saw, he said it was his favorite Idol performance) so I hope he'll include something theatrical and powerful on the record as well. I also hope it includes his Heroes duet with David A., which I thought was incredible! Not that many two man duets out there, and I thought their voices, so very different, blended magically.
What do other people hope to see on the album?

I think I have to agree. David puts a lot of thought in answering questions. He always thinks it through, and the ummmm is as long as it takes him to think. I admire him for that...because being asked those questions and having people expect an immediate response out of me would drive me insane! Good job David!
