Don't know if this will help you but my 16 yr old son is pretty much the same size as David.
6'2", size 13 shoe, except that my son is slightly heavier (football player) and he wears a size XL. I would guess that David is a size L.

I just recieved a pm message from Jenna in regards to the actual size t-shirt David Cook wears, which is a large t-shirt is the best bet. Haha. I'm not sure if i should really say this right here, but I love that little glimpse of his tummy that he showed off when he was singing "Time of My Life" on the AI finale. It's on my ipod and there's happy trail, which leads to happy Lindsey.
I'm not sure about the size L t-shirt guys, my husband is about the same size as DC and he wears an XL. just thought I'd throw that out there.
Oh, cool! I sent him a L t-shirt before the finale so I'm glad I seemed to have picked the right size! 
To be safe, you may want to get an XL shirt. Some t-shirts run smaller than others and can shrink. Better to be a little to big than small
i was going to guess a large as well....
lets remember he is shrinking before our eyes...i can only imagine that during the tour he will continue to lose. He is quoted as saying he wants to turn his 1 ab into 6. (not that he isn't perfect the way he is)

I haven't seen a pic of him wearing it yet, but then how many has he received anyway? I hope he wears it on tour. If it doesn't fit maybe he'll give it to Andrew, or Archie, although it's really not his style. I don't think a *little* tight is such a bad thing.
