Hi, I'm getting freaked out trying to keep up with all the cougars!!!

I'm 40 from Canada...can I be #29 - Canadian Cookie Cougar?? Or just Canadian Cougar works too!

Since the cubgar thread listed fans as ages 18-39, I just chose the cougar term to mean fans 40+ years of age....I think there is a list somewhere of the age ranges and their 'names' (cubs, cougars, etc), but I can't find it now. Anyhow, since David said "age is just a number", if you feel more comfortable in this thread, by all means, join us!!

I love all the names everyone is coming up with, they're great!

As for 'our name'...I like the one above (whoever came up with it) COUGAR NATION.

Here's my 2 cents worth of ideas

2. Seasoned with Love Cougars

I see a few of you might meet up for a concert! That is so cool and what this is all about. Last year I met people that I had never met before in 4 different states to see Daughtry shows! All because of Travis's Mr. Daughtry site!

Hey! I guess I can stop feeling naughty for being 41 and thinking that David Cook is the complete package!! I'm glad I stumbled on THE OFFICIAL 'COUGAR' FORUM.

If there is still an "O" available, I'd like to be Omniscient Cougar. Omniscient means "having total knowledge." I sure don't, but I definitely know more than I did when I was in my 20s -- one of the benefits of being a COUGAR!

- Obsessive cougar (okay, this one sounds a little scary, no?)

Well, at 41 you're not old - I'd go with One-Track Mind Cougar - Sounds sexy, but not too obsessive! (Although we are all a bit obsessed, aren't we?)

Can I be #58--First-time Cougar? Just turned 40, and have *never* had an obsession like this one before. I'm happily married with 2 kids and have never really crushed on any sort of celebrity before . . . but this season's Idol changed all that! I agree. . . DC is the total package!!

Hi and welcome! Yeah, there's just something about his voice, the complexity of it, the timbre. The more I hear him sing the more I want to hear him sing. Plus the fact that he's such a smart and attractive and sensitive and charming guy on top of that, yeah. What more could you ask for?



You know, alot of the contestants try to do that looking into the camera thing and they just seem schmaltzy, but when David does it, it's like he's reached out of your TV set or PC screen and actually looked at you. He said something probably jokingly once about winning an Oscar, but maybe it's no joke! Think there could be some real acting talent there.

You're welcome! I haven't been getting much work done the past couple weeks and I know it's going to catch up to me, but fortunately I don't really care if they fire me, lol.

Every time I start to do some work some new posts come in and I get sidetracked again. Guess I should turn off email alert, but I don't want to. ;-)

And of course this morning I had to get my cookie fix and watch the Walmart thing. Great acoustic version of TOML, new vocal twists. I could just listen to that voice every hour of the day.

Well here I am again. getting nothing done. I wonder how long this virius will last?? I am glad we will see him again on the 12th on Leno at least we will have something new to go ga ga over.

That may be part of my plan when he comes here...I have a niece who is just starting to work in the PR department for local radio stations, so she is going to find a way for me to be able to meet him up close and personal! I also just ordered a Pittsburgh gift basket to give to him when he is in town...I am one DETERMINED cougar!! LOL

Recently, a few posts on this thread had to be deleted, due to a post re: David's private life. It has been stated NUMEROUS times by Travis and the moderators that David's private life is to remain just that--PRIVATE. We can all discuss our love for the man, his talent, and his music, but what he may do in his own time is not to be talked about on this website...just wanted to remind everyone of that, for future reference.

Hi there--Yes, I'm almost positive it does include news articles, too. It's just that a while back, there were a LOT of repeat posts re: the first date, etc., and people were starting to get rather crass in their remarks. Travis had to state that if her name was mentioned, the posters' would be 'watched' until it seemed they had calmed down. I was just nervous that some folks would maybe chime in with their opinion re: his dating life, and I didn't want this thread to be deleted for that. It's nothing personal--it's just that Jenney put so much time and effort into getting everyone's name and number, I didn't want the thread to be 'poofed'.

I'm very happy that this website has made this policy. I left a previous discussion group because of all the nastiness that ensued over his private life. This website is wonderful and so positive. And I'm loving the thread on developing charitable donation and volunteer time giving in DCs name. Fantastic. Keep up the good work!
