Hey everyone,
I was very excited to see this board. I love David Cook and live in an area where- well not too many people are Rock fans let alone new artist rock. I absolutely have been rooting for David Cook since day one. Want to hear something crazy? I don't have TV because well the kids just fought over it too much so I had it turned off a few years back and since keep up to date on the radio and internet and watch special broadcasts (AI7 finale) at friends house.

I saw something on the net about AI7 and I just checked it out for a quick minute and saw DC and was hooked. I followed only him as a preformer every week by logging into youtube the following day and checking for his performances. I started this week 10 "Billie Jean"- I was hooked!!!! I backchecked all his performances and caught up on his story with the show and have been a fan ever since. LOVE the guy!

I am 39 with 6 kids and I am going to school online full time and work part time substitute teaching at my kids school. I think David Cook has broken the rut I was in of everyday mundane life. I get excited now just hearing his songs and voice on an interview. He is inspiring me to be younger at heart. I always have been but he reaffirmed it for me. He is young and to radiate than youth to us older folk is amazing in itself. He is so great and I am glad I can share my thoughts with other "30 something"ers. Thanks ladies!

What a fun idea! Can I be #45-SensualCougar? Its just perfect for me-age 45 and my name starts with S (Susan). I guess I was a cougar long before there was even a name for it-hubby is 8yrs younger than me and we've been married 16 years-(with two girls 12 and 7) We're all DC fans but I'm the only one obsessed....

I liked David from the start and loved him after "Hello" I never liked that song before but now its one of my favorites! This post Idol time is tough-no more new Cookie songs-thank goodness for this site!

I had an idea this morning...I think we should give ourselves a 'special name'...ya know, there are "Cougars for Cook", but I'd like to do something that separates us (here on D-C.org) from the other cougars out there.

Sooo...if anyone has any ideas for an 'original name' for us, post it on here or PM me. I guess I'll take ideas for the next couple days, and then I'll come up with a poll this weekend (with, say, the most popular 5 ideas), and we'll choose our name!

as far as names ... i was thinking it might be cool to follow along the cougar things but i am not a huge fan of that word - just the word, not the meaning. but i was wondering about something using: cat, cats (cookie cats?), feline (feline frenzy?), felinity, catamount, felis concolor, etc. though none of those seem better actually. i don't know. guess i am just trying to be all alliterative and word nerdy because cougar is used so much.

Mapquest tells me it's a 7.5 hour drive to SLC. Even if it is 9, I'm OK with that. I'd leave Monday early am and drive home after Tuesday's concert, or stay the night if too tired and drive home Wed.

Well the cubgars have claimed age group 18-39, but there's alot of difference between and 18 year old and a 39 year old. I speak from experience, having been both! ;-)

Anyone over 35 who wants to be here is welcome as far as I'm concerned, if you feel more comfortable here than with the cubgars.
