Just noticed the BOT on all the pages. What's up with that? It's been inserted between posts that are days old. Can someone please explain? Does this site need revenue from advertising?

Full Version: The Bot
Yeah, I was just about to ask the same thing. When I first came to the board (without registering) it showed up within the posts, but registering made it go away. Now, since yesterday, I too have noticed that it is showing up everywhere, even when I am logged in!
What`s with the Bot anyway? O_o
Bot is an advertisement. But I really think it's spam.

Generally I use Firefox with ad block so I never see the Google ads at the top of the page and with the "Cook Bot" all I see is a picture of DC (never a bad thing!) and a robot. However, right now I happen to be using my AOL browser and I'm getting all the ads. Going back to using Firefox now...
ETA: I did an ad block on the robot, so now all I see is DC. I didn't have the heart to ad block him.

I have an ad blocker too so all I see is the lovely DC and a robot!
Although I understand the need to have revenue with this site...the "Cook Bot" is very annoying and so are the google ads up top. The most annoying part:

It's counterproductive to post blinky red banners and run around deleting posts that gossip about David and Kimberly and then have the ads on the site announce it.
