Hi all! I've lurked here for awhile and enjoy seeing everyone's photos/banners etc. I finally decided to register so I could do some sharing of my own. I'm a graphic designer, and each week through the AI season I've been blowing off boring paid work in favor of a more, um, inspirational subject. So now I have a complete set of replacements for the generic artwork that comes with the songs you buy from iTunes. If you're interested, feel free to check them out and download them here. <sigh> I guess I'll have to try to keep my nose to the grindstone again now that our new Idol has been crowned...

Can anyone tell me how to get this in audio and/or video on my iPod???
I know iTunes doesn't have it. I do have it on my Tivo still and I have recorded it onto DVD, problem is my computer can't read new DVDs.
Is there anyway to do this? I love this song (and the video too).

I was wondering if you had made one for Little Sparrow?

I really like these, you did a great job. I'm having trouble getting them to download to my itunes. I open the file like you said at get info- artwork, but when i click add and find the file, it won't let me select it. Did I save them incorrectly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you right click on the picture and download it ("save file as") to your My Pictures folder first? (I put all mine in a separate "DC Album Art" folder.) That's where you go when you click on "Artwork" and then click on add and then select the artwork and click open.

Or there's also a way to just "drag and drop" the artwork into iTunes. First open iTunes and select the song you want to add the artwork to. Then open in another window the artwork itself, then "drag" the artwork into iTunes artwork window on the lower left. If there was already a picture there (like the generic blue one from iTunes) you'll have to go into "Get Info," select "artwork" and switch the pictures by dragging the new one to the left to change the order.

Yeah, it's there with the rest - maybe you just overlooked it? They're in chronological order, so it's between Innocent and Billie Jean.

these covers are great! is there a way to replace my itunes album artwork with your covers?

Yes. First you'll need to right-click on each new cover and save it somewhere on your hard drive. Then, open up iTunes and click on the song whose artwork you want to change; under the File menu select "Get Info," then click on the Artwork tab. Click "Add" and locate the new artwork on your hard drive. Drag the new one all the way to the left in the window, and hit OK.

There are a couple of other ways to go about it, but this one is the most reliable.

Most definitely! You couldn't even call it work, it was much more like play. I'm just sad there are no more AI iTunes in the pipeline to pretty up...I'm seriously missing my Wednesday evenings with Photoshop. Maybe I'll try my hand at a few more desktops...



I think those are my favorites, too - which is fitting because it was my favorite DC performance, and I think one of the best ever on American Idol. So personal and so moving, and with so many layers and textures vocally. Yeah, I certainly enjoy looking at Mr. Cook, but I love hearing him even more.

I really like them. They are truly well made.

I don't have an iPod but I use WMP11 for all my media playing on computer and it has album cover feature. I finally got all my AI7 media organized, now all I need is the covers lol. I've found majority of them but I still need to get covers for group performances and semifinalists..not sure yet if I'm gonna use one particular for everything or make another for every week.

they are so great but is isnt workin on my ipod.
the new covers come up on itunes but on my nano its just a black box. argg.

Sorry you're having problems! It seems you're not alone. I would first try manually re-syncing all the photos on your nano. If that doesn't do the trick, here are a couple of links to the topic on Apple's support discussion boards that might help.
