It was a GREAT interview. The line about kissing the beast to save the beauty made me laugh my ass off. He really is a smart man and he is gonna get what he needs out of Idol for sure

Love this video.
And seeing him talking about wanting to write with OLP, and then now knowing that he did indeed get his wish and had the chance to write something with Raine Maida...well, that just made me giddy for him. smile.gif

THANK YOU, Grans!

That's an excellent article and very informative. I learned things from it.
The audio interview was good too. Some memorable quotes:
*Sometimes you gotta kiss the Beast to save the Beauty, if you know what I mean.
*The choices I've made in my music career are to have a music career.

It's refreshing that there's no emphasis on celebrity, cougars, or hotness.
Just a focus on the man and the musician.
He's got talent, wisdom, and common sense (and he's sure touched our hearts).
Gotta love him and wish him the best!

Any chance someone could rip this from the site, so I could keep it for posterity? It's a great interview. I especially like the part where he talks about which artists he'd like to work with. smile.gif

Amazing interview!! I love to hear about what interests him, and it's obvious that MUSIC is what interests him. His eyes just light up on the subject, and you know the poor boy has GOT to be so sick of talking about AI! I can't wait to see the photos from that shoot, I'm a photographer, and to get my hands on someone as hot as David would be such a privilege! I'm so jealous! wub.gif

I was really happy to hear that he wrote a little bit while he was on AI. I'm sure it helped keep him grounded! smile.gif

He's so right about 'Ten'. That album influenced A LOT of people.

Great behind-the-scenes interview.

Oh, and that eyebrow thing he does? It drives me wild! tongue.gif

According to the article, the issue is coming out June 26 so keep an eye out for it within a week or so!

BTW, both the interview and the article were fantastic, the photos look like they'll be amazing! The camera does love him....

OK folks, got my hands on the print copy today.

A little disappointed in that the article was exactly what I read online. But I still think it was a phenomenal article.

Also wished that some of the pics that they were taking in the video showed up in print, but they didn't.

I didn't scan the article because a) the mag is too big for my scanner, b ) the link has already been posted.

But, these are the pics's used in print.. First one is new and pretty awesome. Second collage seems to be all stuff we've seen before, although I admit I hadn't seen the "Singing In The Rain" one.

Enjoy!
